The 2010 Contest of Champions has arrived! Hosted by Great Escape Games in Sacramento, California, the Contest of Champions is a yearlong series of tournaments for Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy. Details include:

Saturday, January 23rd is the first tournament for 40K.
The cost to enter is $12.
Registration opens at 9am, games start at 10am.
It will consist of 4 rounds of 1250 points.
Prizes include $90 for Best Overall, $50 for Best Sportsman, $50 for Best Sportsman, $35 for Best General, $35 for Best Painted, Free entry for Players Choice, and $10 for the 'Grot Award'. Prizes are awarded as store credit.

The season begins in January and continue to the end of the year. 40K and Fantasy tournaments are held in alternating months - Jan is 40K, Feb is Fantasy, March is 40K, etc. There are prizes awarded at the conclusion of the tournament season in December, including $50 for attending all 6 tournaments in one game system and $235 store credit for Best Overall for the Year.
