Been browsing this site for a few weeks now and have been inspired by some of the superb modelling and painting threads on here....so I thought I'd join up.....

I used to work for Games Workshop - (Reading store) back in the early nineties or as I fondly remember it the time of the thick red jumper....I then got a REAL job!!

After 15 years out of the hobby I thought I'd get back into it and have just recently completed a 1,500 point Imperial Guard Army with no tanks, the tanks will follow......

I have also just started painting up an Ork army as well, just purchased the models I like rather than going to a specific list. I have 1,300 points so far and one mob of 20 boyz painted....hope to get the rest painted within a month.

Looking at adding to both armies over the next few months........

So if anyone in the Berkshire area fancies a game against a relatively inexperienced gamer then I'd be happy to lose badly!!

Hi Doots.

I've just signed up myself, also an ex staff member from the 90's. And yes I still have my thick red jumpers, and a couple of polo shirts. Never did get my shorts, they were like rocking horse droppings. I had considered ebaying them, but hey they might come in handy as rags one day. Shame I'm at the other end of the country (Yorkshire), I'd love to slay some guardsmen with my wolves. If you ever get up to 30,000 points let me know, we could arrange something. It's been a while since I have managed to get three great companies on the table.

Sold a lot of my old models when I left the hobby all those years ago..........I do still have my 22,000pt Empire Army though (that's what trips to Nottingham and wieght orders did to armies back then)

Yeah never got hold of those shorts!!!!
