We are not Forgeworld, but honestly, I thought they could do more with Wolf and Ravens...

The banners are nice though, everything else is mostly flat addons... maybe we will rethink doing dreadnought kits after all.

They're by no means bad sculpts but the Forgeworld Dreadnoughts are in desperate need of some new ideas.

The problem is they're trying to keep them generic enough that they can be used for homebrewed successor chapters...while making something fairly recognizable.

Ugh.. I hate that generic line, we HAVE to do that since we cant use GW IP Icons, they dont, they are GW...

There is so much more they could have done... Raven braziers on the top shoulder of the dread spewing flame...

Raven wings (exclusive Raven upper arms) on the side shoulders of the dreads extending back and off the shoulders. . etc etc..

Talons for the feet...

I think they do as little as they can on the base model, release it and say oh look a new model, its 50$ worst even just for you Ravenguard players, here is the "offzial" ravengaurdz dreadnought.

Then don't buy it and make your own?

They don't tell you "OMG YOU CANNOT HAS DRED!" if you use the standard Dreadnought with your own work done on it.

But either way, Raven Guard are not a Chapter that's given over to decorations. They've always been described like the Raptors--function over form.

And Space Wolves? There's just too many ways to really go for decorative/tribal measures. Funnily enough, the SW Brass Etch fits right onto those blank spots on the top of the arms--go from there.

Yeah but its Forgeworld, its supposed to be suder-dupa good (especially for the moolah you lay down on it).

Dunno, they should have done alot more with them IMHO.
