We have:-
Daemon Prince
Nurgle / Wings / Warptime
Sorcerer
Lash / Slaanesh (IMPOSTER!!!)
Plague Marines X7
Meltas X2 / Champion / P.fist / Combi Melta / Rhino
Plague Marines X7
Meltas X2 / Champion / P.fist / Combi Melta / Rhino
Plague Marines X7
Meltas X2 / Champion / P.fist / Combi Melta / Rhino
Plague Marines X7
Flamer X2 / Champion / P.fist / Combi Flamer / Rhino
Plague Marines X7
Flamer X2 / Champion / P.fist / Combi Flamer / Rhino
I figure this makes my whole army an assault army, so my Greater Daemon will never appear where i don't want him too.
In regards to a Chaos Champion getting killed for the GD, I guess that's Chaos. 73 points for a GD is not that bad. That's only 173 points for a CC monster.
Obliterators X2
Obliterators X2
(Might change these guys for some Vindicators as discussed below. At least that would add a lot more template weapons!)
Greater Daemon
That's exactly 2000 points of Nurgley goodness.
I have had some trouble killing swarm armies with my army previously. Hence the addition of Flamers & Combi weapons.
The sorcerer is to be attached to a squad. Probably some melta guys & the leader of the squad is to be used as a living sacrifice.
If anyone has any thought on this probably mundane & identical to 1000 other peoples list please feel free to send your comments on a self addressed envelope to:-
Grandfather Nurgle,
7 - Gardens of Nurgle,
Warp corner ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!
Eye of Terror.
Cheers.

I don't like the Lash Prince, it doesn't seem to fit and only 1 Lash isn't reliable enough. I'm also worried that the SGD will eat up an expensive Plague Marine Champion.
I'd drop these both, take a 2nd Nurgle DP and use the points add in an extra Obliterator or some more PM.
Oh and I would never use a PW on a Plague Champion. You are already I3, so might as well take the Fist.

Fought this list, Nurgle marines are pretty tough.
Daemon prince goes down easily with massed fire my lootas found out Greater daemon would add nice support, providing comes in at the right time.
Some what lacking anti tank. You have 4 meltas and the 2 oblits. kill the oblits with lucky S8 weapons and only the meltas to worry about.
Tough list when I fought this in planetstrike. I'd like to have another crack in a normal game sometime Lukey.

It's not a lash prince... Look again. Lash Sorcerer!

It's a points thing more than anything else.... Also a way of not killing off 25 points of power fist.
I understand your point about the Initiative thing, but if someone has to die to the Greater Daemon, it might as well be the cheap guy ey!
Could loose the G-Daemon & all the combi weapons to add another group of Obliterators, just wanna see how my G Daemon does for a while.
More of a fun thing than anything else.
Cheers for the comments though mate.

Took your advice on the Power fist... Good call.
Now I'm wondering whether to use X2 groups of Obliterators or use one & a Vindicator....Hmmm.
X2 Vindicators would work well too I think, covered by the Rhinos & it would free up another 10 points to give all my units a Combi Weapon....
It would mean buying another Tank though.... Arrggh!

Its better to be sure. I still think the GD is overly expensive and I'd rather see a Dakka Predator or some Lesser Daemons instead.
However it will be fun when he pops out.

I find taking tanks always works best in 2's. You've then got dual threat and unit redundancy. A unit of 3 obliterators still works well.

Unit redundancy? What kind of waffle is that?
I presume that you mean if I take either one Vindicator/Obliterator squad the other will not be as useful...?
I can see that Tanks are probably the way to go, but that does mean that I'll have to buy ANOTHER tank & I do like the variety of weapons on the Obliterators.
Food for thought....
PS - Stop spying on my threads.

I think he means that two tanks is MORE than twice as hard to kill as one tank, because you're presenting more armored targets to the enemy and forcing them to divide their anti-tank fire.

Your a dumbass lol. If you have one vindicator its easier to take out because just one, and a threat is gone. You then have possibly nothing else for the job or some fire power. You take two vindicators and it doesn't matter too much if you lose one of them as you still have enough, also with two tanks that means another armoured target and support for the other tank.
I need to see what lists your coming up with, right? lol. I post repeatedly in army list forum every day tbh, just saw your list.

Rotting Sorcerer of Nurgle

<3 Mercer. ______ That aside, Klueless and your list: “Gardens” of Nurgle is more of a Chaos Daemons thing than CSM, but whatever floats your boat. DP is ok. Lash Sorc: it’s sad to see it muck up the theme…though you can always count as him as a Nurgle Sorc with the psychic power: Nurgle’s Dance… fluffy and crazy close enough to the actual power. Plague marines: generally look decent. You’ll need to tell us which combi weapon, while the power weapon Champion really doesn’t need the power weapon if he’s the most likely entrance route for the Greater Daemon. Greater Daemon is meh, pretty expensive in this case…173 is crazy expensive for what you get. so my Greater Daemon will never appear where i don't want him too.
I don’t know… ‘never’ is a pretty strong word. Oblits look ok… though at 2000 I would expect 3 hvy support choices. That's exactly 2000 points of Nurgley goodness.
It’s only 1675 points of Nurgle…125 for Slaanesh and 300 that are their own cult…if we get technical . My 7 Cents.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Thanks for all the comments guys.....
Sanctjud - There is mention in the Chaos codex of this garden of Nurgle (which I have only just recently read, I usually ignore all the stories in disgust that someone gets paid to make all that gumpf up) I imagine all my Plague marines sitting around a pool on their time off from killing, sipping cocktails & laughing about pointless jokes.
As for the list, I appreciate your comments (& all the others). I can see that Tanks appear to be the way to go. I'll look into it. As for the G.Daemon, I have used him a few times. He has worked quite well once or twice, failed to appear once, appeared in a bad place once & above all seemed a bit hit & miss. However, I just kinda like the idea of having him around. It seems suitably Chaotic to me for him to appear & tear a Plague champion a new........ well, you know.
If I was gonna solidify the list I'd probably drop the G.Daemon & the Combi Weapons & add another Vindicator. So X3. That sounds pretty mean though. Leaning more towards 'die hard tournament player' rather than 'Sunday afternoon with mates'. I'll see what the future holds.
What is this Nurgle's Dance power you speak of?
Is that from the old codex?
I've never heard of it. It would be good if they made the powers like that for each clan of Chaos. I think it sucks that people get upset because it not a 'Total Nurgle' list.
Oh well. Enough waffle.
Cheers guys.

Yea, Nurgle's Dance of the 3.5 Edition Dex.
It was a minor psycher power.
If successfully cast (don't remember the range) the affected unit immediately starts dancing...and can NOT take any advantedge of cover (cover saves for shooting and defensive stuff for assaults).
So it's not a huge stretch that the power could be harnessed so that the enemy unit Cha Cha's their way out into the open and open-break underarm turn into a plasma cannon barrage (I dance... ).
