Last I heard of them, they were the ultimate crazies in the Eye of Terror, what with their wolf mutations and whatnot.

So I was wondering, are they still in the fluff, and how would one go about representing them?

Use Space Wolf and CSM plastic bits for the Gray Slayers stormclaws etc... Look around for the old Wulfen models too.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

Well, Actually, the 13th Great Company is just a "place holder" or a "Symbol" nowadays, many companys have gone the way of the "13th" the Original Company is itself completely Comprised of Wolfan Space Wolves, which is basically a Space wolf whom has more hair, longer fangs, Claws, and are generally great in close combat, but to go the way of the 13th has happened before, i think quite a few times

Whilst I am certainly grateful for the conversion advice, I meant list-wise.

I also was wondering if they are still active in the Eye of Terror.

It's hard to make a list exactly like the one from the EoT codex but you could restrict yourself as follows:

no vehicles
HQs on Thunderwolf mounts & Fenrisian wolfs
Iron Priests on Thunderwolf mounts & Cyber wolves
Wolfguard
Fenrisian wolfpacks
Grey Hunters with a Wulfen model
Long Fangs

I think that about does it.

You can have bikes though. And you can have a pack of wulfen which counts as elites.

They're dead.

Abaddon laugh as the entire thirteen company chased the dark angel cypher into the path the Hive fleet. He laughed as the world they were fighting on was consumed by the hive fleet. He sent Doomrider to check their fate. Doomrider did not return, abaddon was pleased. No more yelling about ejauculating plasma and cocaine. Rejoice.

First the Squats, Then some space wolves.. In the end the entire Imperium!

Still there getting more mutated, crazier and probably deader with every passing day but as far as GW has said anything still there.

Russ himself is probably in the EoT leading them too, which would account for how they've lasted as long as they have.

To field them on a tabletop my best suggestion is

1. Take Logan Grimnar - a necessary evil since he opens up wolf guard as troops.

2. Take wolf guard as troops, these are your grey slayers (on foot) or stormclaws (with added bikes if desired). You lose out on the old special weapons but you can take a ton of combi-weapons and if you really want to you can designate Grey Hunters as Grey Slayers and use those WG as Storm Claws exclusively.

3. Fast Attack = fenrisian wolves, maybe thundercav.

4. Heavy Support = long fangs

5. Elites = lone wolves would be quite fluffy for 13th Co and are really the only elite choice that would work

6. Don't take any vehicles

7. Give nearly everything that can mark of the wulfen, obviously not characters, that would be silly but lone wolves, Grey Hunters, Wolf Guard, etc.

That should give you a decent approximation of the old 13th Co on the table. Sadly no first turn scout and no gate but you've got cheap long fangs, an improved MotW, powerful psykers and potential access to thundercav if you want it.

Well, I'd take GH's with CSM back packs, eventually also CSM bolters.
Wulfen (old metal models) could be implemented by WG in power armor.
Fenresian Wolves, SM Bikers, and Long Fangs are fine.

However, the 13th Co Rune Priest had a psychic power called gate that
allowed him to teleport him and a squad.

The rules for 13th company is in the eye of terror codex. But then you'll have to do some tweaking if you want to use the 13th with the 5th edition SW codex. Good luck finding wulfen models. Your best bet for that is ebay

I'd take Mark of the Wulfen in every single Grey Hunter squad, and lots of Fenrisian Wolves. If you can find the old Wulfen models, they could be Wolf Guard just fine. I don't think they'd have Thunderwolves, as those are native to Fenris, and from what I can tell a more recent addition to the Wolves.

The rules in the eye of terror for the 13th says that they can use items in the space wolf armory but it didn't say what edition of the SW codex to use. It's possible the 13th could of had a few thunder wolves with them.

I'm really disappointed that the new SW codex does not include the 13th Co.
The army was fully footslogging, faster than normal footslogging armies, better in cc than normal GH's,
able to field SW Bikers with scout move and 2 basic attacks,
and a RP with gate which allowed nasty tactics.

Yeah the 13th company were awesome. It would be good if they cound find some sort of official way of including them even though they left them out the new codex.

That is some of the most ridiculous attempts at "logic" I've ever seen.

The 13th Company list is dead and gone. The sublists are invalidated once the "new" edition comes out, due to model price inconsistencies.

HOWEVER. If you really, really, really, really superduperx10 want to do 13th Company?
Buck up and do it as a counts as under the new Space Wolves.
