i would *recommend* using the trygon base since i suspect
GW (IF they ever say anything) will say to use it since the description says it's a "massive" creature and the stats are consistent with the trygon and mawloc (t6, 6 wounds). you would think
GW would have learned from the thunderwolf cav basing debacle and put in a few words about base sizes of units that don't yet have official models but they apparently haven't (nor have they addressed the question in the
SW faq). technically, legally, yes you have every right to use your fexes for tervigons as long as you don't mind the occasional raised eyebrow. one could even model a nid on a 40mm base (used by wraithlord monstrous creatures in 3rd/4th edition) as a trygon since
GW apparently can't afford the ink to print recommended base sizes for gaps in their modelling range.
