Just wondering who you guys would recommend for conversion commisions?

Am thinking of having someone create some stealer hybrids for me, but it's tough to figure who is best suited for both GS scupting as well as mechanical looking plasticard/rod bionics etc.

I would like to create some stealer hybrids for SH, as I have a soft spot for them since having 1st ed when I was a very young dude. Since these are obviously out of production (and too dated even if I ebayed em imo) it leaves the converting option. I could go the ghoul and guardsman route, but I'm kinda ambitious. Unfortunately I have little to no GS experience besides patching seams and the occasional purity seal, so for the level I aim for I need to look outside.

Concept wise, my idea is basically that the Hybrids get more intelligent and technological in later generations.

I.e, 1st/2nd gen are beasts of burden, hunched still and bulky, no cyber implants, but things can be mounted on them with straps/chains/bindings by the later generations. They have enough intelligence to go where told, but not enough to operate the weapons properly. The solution would be to mount an auto-targetting system along with the heavy weapon, circumventing fluff and making for an interesting model hopefully. Clothing minimal as I picture them still being mostly covered with carapace like a purestrain, just with more human posture and a smaller head, so loincloths or rags only.

3rd gen very much in the style of the old metal hybrids, just with better proportions and detail. Clothing for them would be robes and stealer style armor, the ribbed collars etc.

4th gen very human, flak or carapace armor with the occasional robe or scarf, maybe some allusions to the ribbed stealer collars, but otherwise very mechanicum trooper looking. Some of these guys would have cyber implants, who would voluntarily replace one of their human arms with a bionic version of a purestrain rending claw.

I quite like the idea that the early gens are more ragged and clothed more simply, with more tech and advanced, cleaner armor as you get to the 4th gens. That being said, would be great to incorporate the stealer icon and the ribbed collar theme throughout to tie them in together, but the icons should be minimal, not huge or overly repeated.

Comments, links (advice to move this to a better forum?) are welcome.

Thanks guys!

insaniak does amazing work too.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

If you're willing to put your money where your concept is, talk to Insaniak. I've had two pieces done by him, and I cannot tell you how awesome they turned out.

I'd definitely trust him to make my vision become a "reality," if I was looking for custom work.
