Okay so I got a great idea for a manticore conversion that I'm excited about. I want to make a manticore with a Chimera base and a patriot missile launcher on the top. My question is does anyone know where I could find a model patriot launcher to put on the chimera that is the right scale? I have been looking and haven't been able to find any. Any help would be very appriciated!

You can only get 'modern' armour in 1/72 (too small) or 1/35 (may be too large).

!/48 is mainly for a select range and it's mostly WW2 stuff.

I did a simple conversion. I took a whirlwind missile launcher, cut out the missiles fronts, extended them with some plastic tubes and remounted the heads of the missiles. Then you just build up the rest of missile turret as normal. Then you need to mount the turret collar from the Rhino/Whirlwind kit onto a Chimera chassis.

You may also want to make the marine parts look more imperial guard by adding more rivets. I found running some of the spare track guards across the top of the pods and adding the IG style skull and eagles from the accessory sprues to the sides also help.
