So, earlier last year, we saw that the Witch Hunters and Daemonhunters Codices and box sets were going from foreign sites, but now they've disappeared from the UK site as well, with the US shortly to follow I'm sure. Also, GW has commented that there will be no reprints.
More about it over at BotLS: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/01/40k-news-where-has-inquisition-gone.html
Doubt they'd be dumping them altogether - it's such a huge part of the 40K universe, the Inquisition.
Edited for clarification.

They wouldn't Squat them. It's been reported that Grey Knight Terminator 3-ups have been spotted around the studio. I'm guessing they're just pulling the boxes of metal miniatures, since they're heavy as hell and expensive to ship. I could see them possibly coming out with new packaging consistent with the box art for other current releases, since I don't think these specific boxes been updated since 3rd edition. A lot of Dark Eldar models got repackaged in this manner around Apocalypse if I recall.
I've heard absolutely nothing indicating either branch of the Inquisition will get a codex too soon, so my hopes aren't too high. However, maybe GW just kept their mouths shut on these releases. Alternately, they could just be attempting to sell off all the old stock before they eventually get a new codex and accompanying miniatures releases.
To be honest this could mean anything. I wouldn't say the sky is falling just yet though.

they are mainly third edition rules and you mix them with 5th edition codex's. it just makes the game clunky imho. park them for six months until the new rules come out. though pulling the codex's is normally a sign you have enter the 6-12 month window

Why do they need to be gone? What's wrong with them. I am just starting to build a pure (ie no allied SM or IG) WH army. I hope they are just getting ready for new models. I'd love some plastic SoB.

No, they've never done that before. The closest thing they've done was removing a list altogether, with no future in sight.
Unless of course you just mean pulled it off the shelf, in which case yes, they've done that.

That could be said of any book that had a 3rd edition codex coming into 5th edition; they just need an update.

Was in my local GW today, they had no DH codices on the shelf and the fella holding the fort said they didn't know when they were coming back in, although they still had a couple of WH codices on the shelf.
He said they never sold much Inq stuff, anything they did sell was probably through mail order, and I didn't see much on the shelves except a WH Inq+ret and a box of PAGKs and a couple of blister packs.

I can't see them taking the Inquisition forces out of the game. After all, one of the two RPG systems for the universe focuses on that aspect of Imperial life.
In fact, I would guess they get expanded a small amount and give ideas for Dark Heresy in the Codex.

ya i mean pull it off the shelf a bit befor it gets redone....if they had not done that befor that would be a realy bad sign
i hope they get redone, thought of making a WH army but dont want to till we know more if its going to be back or not.

More codices. More products. And more income for GW.
To compact 2 books into one will do no good. Maybe expand to three is a better idea.

Three Codex's?
Like Pure Inquisition, Pure Grey Knights and Pure Sisters of Battle? That would be good, especially if you could build and army out of all three

With GW trying to insist on not using 2 codices for 1 army, having 3 for 1 army is a step in the opposite direction if I'm honest.

I wasn't "fearmongering". Does losing the Inquisition bring you fear? I was simply reporting what I read at BotLS. And they seemed to simply be reporting what they had noticed over at GW UK.

This kind of stuff gets posted every other week at BotLS, it seems.
It is not news. It is not even really rumor. It is nothing more than the equivalent of the tripe you see in a $0.99 gossip rag at the checkout line. These kinds of things usually start from a "friend whose brother's girlfriend knows someone from the shipping & receiving department".

You're right, it's not a rumor. It's fact. The Codex isn't up anymore. Neither of them are. It means -something-. The conjecture is what does it mean. It was "news" to me that the Codices weren't available anymore. I imagine that it would be "news" to others.

Yeah, they're up on US, Aussie and Spain it looks like. But the point of the "news" was that the UK site now has them down, probably a fair share of the GW target audience.
