It's a slow burn. The system is good, but support is iffy or bad.
Very few people carry it, and that's because when they did carry it they could never got a restock, and the game died.
The game is also mass battle oriented, but units are a more reasonable 10-20 strong instead of 30+ minis. However, all miniatures are metal, and priced like GW metals, so it costs a lot.
Also kind of angry that they promised a skirmish version to help get people into the game, never came out.
Another problem I had with the original Wargods of Aegyptus was the lack of interesting specialty units. All the base races had basically the same rules, just different stats.
Overall, tragically flawed. A good game with poor support that will probably continue in a slow fade into obscurity, then oblivion, or will spectacularly implode due to unforseen issues.
