Which is better?

I think GTA IV is a better game, but Saint's Row is more entertaining. Saint's Row is a bit less serious, and has some pretty damn funny side missions you can do (such as Insurance Fraud).

Agreed but i haven't played Saints Row for ages now i am playing GTA IV and making Niko fly out the windshield as much as possible

I think that Prototype is more fun than both.

Grand theft auto, by a long shot. Better graphics, vastly better storyline, better controls, more to do, and a better soundtrack.

Agreed, i have been playing GTA almost my whole life you could do the most stuff in san andreas

gta: heavy on plot ,chracters but no real fun stuff to keep you busy if you dont fell likep playing the plot
saint row. less serious over the top violence and crazy custmozation. who doesnt love a atv with tinted windows kneecaps and purple camo.
they both have there pro and cons.

GTA 4 is amazing online. Get a few friends and fly to that big posh hotel, then attempt to land on the roof. Now get two or three people to attempt to attack the building with helicopters. WIN!

Six star wanted race from the prison to the airport, no vehicles, rocket launchers and body armour allowed. You get three lives, you are allowed vehicles to catch up with your team mates, but thats it. Do it with a few friends, WIN!

I've got to go with Saints Row 2: better controls, more customisation and it's easy to pick up and play. A bit short sadly, but the DLC made up for that a wee bit.

I prefered some of the older GTA's like vice city and san andreas, but I think the newest one is a little dull once the story is done. So i'd personally play saints row 2 rather than the newest GTA.

The only thing better in the new gta that wasn't in the older gta's, better graphics.
