What's a kill-team? Are there rules for it?

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Kill-team was a way of playing 40k that used a smaller number of models and a tie in narrative. It featured at the back of the old 40K rulebook as sort of an add-on. It is more akin to Necromunda, squad wise, than 40K. The old 40K rulebook had all the relevent rules for it.

Hope that helps,

The OC-D

It was a great opportunity to customize a squad of guys to look as awesome as possible. One player would take a squad of badasses to go on a mission to kill another player's boss and a horde of his lackeys. I never got to try it, but it sounded awesome.

There were rules for Kill Team the game in the 4th edition 40k book. A "kill team" is a group of elite troops put together to accomplish an objective other than the usual "giant lines of troops kill each other in the grim darkness of space"

Kill teams was awesome. Infact we STILL play kill teams in my group. Its a nice change of pace on a few different levels.

Customizing a squad only of just super hard asses was one nice perk. Youd pretty much just save them for a kill teams game, and were almost always over the top.
And it was a team of guys, not a huge army. And almost always the way things went, it just turned into an action movie scene that went nuts, specially when you agree on some table rules on certain terrain blowing up and whatnot.

I highly suggest finding the rules for Kill Teams and give it a try. Pretty damn fun
