If you're using the BA codex, then yes.

I agree, totally legit to use Baal predators since you use the BA codex for successor chapters. Fluff wise it states in Imperial Armour book 2 that Baal predators are used by the blood angels and their successors so I can't see why anyone could argue with you doing it.

I think most of the successor chapters would have access but probably not Lamenters. That's just me though.

I take the point about the Lamenters. This is one of those times when the relationship between fluff and rules becomes a bit strained. The Baal predator dates back to the great crusade so Lamenters should have had access to them but since I understand that they don't have the "anger management" issues of the blood angels I suppose you should use the marine codex for them. Therefore no Baal predator. Hopefully the next blood angel codex will make life easier

Allegedly there will be a way (via, of course, a Special Character!) in the new BA Codex to take a very good 'counts as' Lamenters force and use many of the BA only goodies.

I can't wait to see if this is true or not!

Yes. Why wouldn't they? There's doubtedly any rules in place that will say otherwise.

Really? I hadn't heard of anything about a Lamenters character.

Er, sorry!

There is NO Lamenters character, as far as we know.

There is, however, a character that removes all the RAGE rules and instead gives the army STUBBORN.

Now that, to me, sounds perfect for Lamenters!
