New WM Previews up on PP's website: Bane Thrall UA, New unit of Satyxis, Doomreaver UA and Retribution Fane Knight, lets see if PP allow direct linking for the images.

Greylord Escort, doomreaver UA
Only the most courageous of Greylords are chosen to accompany the barbarous Doom Reavers into battle. These escorts are invariably experts in the field of Orgoth studies as well as formidable arcanists. Moving amidst the Doom Reavers like a handler of vicious beasts, the Greylord carries a staff of Orgoth origin. His will is exerted through this dark artifact, restraining the Doomreavers from murdering one another when they rip into the enemy. He channels that rage to provide a necromantic imperviousness to the effects of injuries.

Fane Knight
Fane Knights are soldiers who have answered a divine calling and feel chosen to pledge their lives to the defense of Scyrah. They have vowed to protect both the fane and the goddess to their last heartbeat. Despite the warnings of his priests and superiors, he has turned to the Retribution for answers. Skeryth longs for battle and increasingly rests his hopes on the Retribution’s claim that fighting humanity will provide relief to the goddess.

Bane Thrall Captain & Standard
Rune-bound captains lead the blasphemous bane thralls onto the battlefield to slaughter for their own vicious pleasure. Only the most hateful and malevolent of spirits are chosen to lead the banes into battle. Pulled from eternal torment in the abyss of Urcaen they remember little of their former lives, but what memories they retain grant them a consuming hatred for all life. The night-shrouded legions follow their officers in near silence, obscured by the darkness that clings to them. Out of this nightmarish shadow they raise ancient standards, mockeries of the kingdoms and causes they once fought for as mortal men.

Satyxis Blood Witches
The sadism of the Satyxis is a legend among those who sail the waters of the Broken Coast. But even among the depraved Satyxis are a few whose appetites for atrocity are greater than their sisters. The Blood Witches work their dark magic through blighted ritual blades known as Blood Razors. Those who fall to a Blood Witch’s knife may be burst into a lingering crimson mist or have their vitality turned against their fellows in a lash of psychical death energy.

overall I like the models. Only the Bane-leader is meh to me. Its something about the helmet and 2 oversized axes I think...

the satyxis I will have to take a better look at, but they look good at first glance...

Why are these unpainted, I wonder? Usually PP stuff is previewed only when the staff painters are done with it.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I like the Greylord, but not the rest. Though I only tend to like PP stuff when its at least slightly restrained.

I like those fane knights, they might be usefull (with some converting) as incubi for my DE army.

Thx for putting those pics up.

the greylord may finally make me purchase that elusive doomreaver unit. As it is the Assault Kommandos are next on my list

Those shoulder pads on the Bane Thrall Captain?

A little over the top, no?

Hopefully the arms on that Bane Thrall Captain can be positioned differently. I don't think it'd be a bad model if at least one axe was at his side. It'll be interesting to see what he adds to the unit.

The Blood Witches look pretty good, but they still have that problem of not having 6 different poses. I had hoped that in MkII PP would have stopped doing that.

The Bane Thrall Captain looks almost like a plane taxi'ing it's own takeoff thanks to it's horizontal shoulderpads and arm pose.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

Not bad for the company that runs on the mantra play like you got a pair.

WTF is up with the oversized shoulder pads? Even the eldar/ gundam guys have them.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I'm pleased to finally get another Satyxis unit. I'm looking forward to Skarre's tier even more now.

Bane Thrall UA seems weird. Standards allow the unit to reroll command checks but Bane Thralls are fearless. The Officer seems a bit 'by the numbers, hopefully he has some cool rues. 12 strong Bane Thrall units (before Tartarus/EGoreshade top-up) should be fun.

Privateer has been putting out some nice sculpts lately, but all of these look like complete garbage to me.

And to put unpainted miniatures on their website is really odd

That's what I'm wondering. Maybe it increases the leaders command range so the unit can be more spread out? You could affect a lot more models with Dark Shroud that way.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the BT Captain gives the unit powerful charge. MAT 8 would make them really effective.

A thought someone had was that the Standard is a CMD area debuff based on the
fluff text provided:

"Out of this nightmarish shadow they raise ancient standards, mockeries of the kingdoms and causes they once fought for as mortal men. "

I'm from the future. The future of space

I think the unpainted miniatures are signs that the workload of the whole mk2 project is starting to show. They are being so ambitious right now. I'm shocked at how rapidly they are releasing things.

I think the Fane Knight looks fantastic. The rest are okay. I will likely find a suitable wizard from Reaper Miniatures instead of the Koldun guy to escort my Doom Reavers. It'll be cool to have something to shut down unwanted berzerk attacks.

As far as satyrs and goat girls go, I've always been a fan of more suble horns than PP has gone with, but they look good.

Malfred, I think you're right about another debuff from the standard. I think the bane leader looks a bit static, but I think simply dropping one of his arms down and turning his head will be all that it will take to fix it.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Take a closer look on those pics.
The minis actually are painted.

At least you coul see a dark wash (especially in the "shadows" but also on some plain areas), and also some parts look brushed (the metal looks not real/consistent everywhere).

In fact i heard a rumor that at least some ofe them are plastic and they are just painted to look like metals.

This would at least explain why we see "unpainted" models on the website...

What do you think about that?

That's just silliness. These models were just inked to bring out the detail, nothing more.

I think it's standard practice for many companies to give unpainted metals a basic ink wash to help bring out detail.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

I think the talk is just based on the fact that PP hasn't put unpainted models on their
website too often (unless they did with the extreme models, and even then I think the
pics were of painted models).
