Me and some of my friends are starting a band, but we're at a bit of a standstill in coming up with a name for the band. These are some of the names we've come up with, vote for you favorite.

We're a Punkcore/Rapcore band.

Some of our inspirations include Hollywood Undead, Breaking Benjamin, Dr. Acula, and Bring Me the Horizon.

Again, as a veteran of punk, pop/punk and screamo bands I'd have to vote for Infamous Nobodies, followed by Call Me Old Fashioned and As the Lights Go Out. Though honestly there isn't a reason you can't use them all. Personally I'd do the band name as Infamous Nobodies with a debut album or single titled either of the other choices.

Quick question though, what exactly do you classify as punk/core? I understand the rap/core influence with Hollywood Undead but I wouldn't classify Breaking Benjamin as either punk nor rap-centric. (Though they are awesome.)

The three names I mentioned are all good, though in the bunch I'd have to disagree with lord of the ghosts as saying that "Eight of Diamonds" is by far the worst of the bunch. It's not very original and just looks like you spread a bunch of cards like a magic trick and randomly picked one, putting it back if you already knew another band had it as a name. If there's a story behind why that name is important to you then it might make all the difference. Anyway, the three above-mentioned I think would all make solid band names. Just my two cents. Rock on brothers.

To be perfectly honest, I have absolutely no clue what Punk/core is. One of our band members basically said "we should be Punk/core!" and we were like "RIGHT ON!" cuz it sounded cool, but I personally have no idea what it is in particular...I would imagine he might have been inspired by a local band called Littlefoot (you might have heard of them, we're actually good friends with a couple of the members). Again, I don't exactly know for sure.

Perhaps it's a combination of Punk/Hardcore...

Punk=Sex Pistols,The Ramones ,etc
Hardcore= The Exploited,Agnostic Front,Minor Threat,etc

That would be my best guess, but I can't think of any bands who satisfy such requirements...hmmmmm.

I think you should go with "Hot Claire Injection". It is extremely obscure, but that is Ok.

I'd guess bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu and such like that. In the more punk tastes Anti-flag and maybe Rise Against

I really like The Infamous Nobodies. It has a cool catchy vibe to it.

On a different note... I really must be getting old because I don't know any of the bands you mentioned. Sigh... back to my grunge records and tapes.

I play...

I've always though "Yutz wagon" was a good name for a band. I'm gonna go with "Infamous nobodies". If I ever make a band I'm gonna call it "Inertia" or "Praying Atheists".

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
