Trygons for taking down tanks and stuff and everything else for anti infantry.

What is a tyranid prime? I assume you mean a Warrior Alpha?

If you want anti-tank, then go with Zoeys. 3 squads of 3 should run about the same as 3 trygons, and it should be a bit more reliable. Of course, i haven't used trygons yet so I can't say that for certain.

Tyranid Prime is another name used in the codex etc. So I take it your praying the Trygons come in reliably? Cause otherwise you gonna be lacking in the support area vs heavy stuff.

Tyranid Prime is the correct name, there is no Warrior Alpha. I think this list has a ton of potenial more so when we take into account that Warriors can use the tunnels from the Trygon, I would only change one thing, drop a brood of Ravenors and take Lictors, maybe even Death Leaper, the +1 to reserves will be nice. This lets your warriors get in a little faster.

i think you should swap out the ravs for zonthropes. can you give the tyranid primes something that adds +1 to reserve rolls or is that just the hive tyrant?

It's just the Tyrant, unfortunately.

too much S8 stuff out there to squish your troops in the game (they do not have eternal warrior or any way of getting it if i recall correctly).

It seems nasty, just don't get bogged down by your troops taking heavy casualties to a lotta stuff due to S8.

3 Trygons will be hard to deal with, as well with all the other gak, i personally would have a horrible time playing against this list because its all fearless but overall, it seems like you are not putting forward any amount of body count and are gonna have to take more saves than you can dish back.

Seems nasty, gonna have to see how all this weird synapse works and see how trygons fair.

They gonna be scary but without T7 in the dex, lasguns are gonna be fun to take in bulk.

I might make the warriors all the same talons and devourers for 150 pts giving me 15 shots a unit with 2 units hitting on 3+ due to the tyranid primes.

i like the trygons they have rerolls to hit and wound toughness 6 or less.

Other troops can come in from reserve through the holes the trygons make as they enter - I'm guessing that this is your plan?

Remember that the raveners cannot come in like that (they're beasts) but Zoan's can.

What about removing 1 Trygon and some of the little things and trying to fit a Carnifex brood in there?

You are gong to have one hell of a time killing tanks.

First drop the Doom of M since hes not an eternal warrior and gets punked by missles, meltas, BL, Dl, Las cannons, any IG tanks, etc..

Next drop half of the ravagers.

And finally make 3 units of 2 X zoanthropes in Drop pods with venom cannons.


Then Finally I would lose a Alpha warrior and get a tyrant with +1 Reserve roll and Outflanking on one of your warrior squads.

This will help you bust tanks on turn 2 and get you a scoring unit on the other side of the board to capture objectives.
