Hi everyone:

I've had requests that I post TempleCon's schedule of Warhammer and related events here, so I am happy to oblige!

* Warhammer 40K Tournament - Decimation Format - Friday, February 5th, noon-6pm
* Bloodbowl: The BBCS at TempleCon - Friday, February 5th, 6pm-11pm
* Warhammer 40K 1750 Point Tournament - Saturday, February 6th, 10am-6pm
* Warhammer Fantasy Tournament - Sunday, February 7th, 9am-6pm
* Warhammer 40K Planet Strike Mega Battle - Sunday, February 7th, 10am-6pm
* Space Hulk Tournament - Sunday, February 7th, noon-4pm

Also, the D6 Generation is running a couple of non-Warhammer events of interest at TempleCon:

* D6 Generation Presents: Malifaux Demonstration - Friday, February 5th, 7pm-9pm
* D6 Generation Presents: Gutshot - Night of the Living Deadwood - Saturday, February 6th, 6pm-9pm
* Le Havre with Hollywood of the D6 Generation - Saturday, February 6th, noon-5pm

And of course, we have a ton of other events and vendors (including the WAR STORE!) in our newly-expanded space at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. For more information, please check our website at: http://templecon.org/10/

I hope to see a lot of Dakka-Dakka regulars at TempleCon this year - maybe we can finally get a decent post-con photo selection and tournament report up, too!

It's really good to see this great event advertised here on Dakka! My girlfriend and I had a great time last year and are looking forward to another great weekend of gaming this year. If you're on the fence of whether or not to go to this convention it is fully worth it. There are plenty of things to be doing constantly and everthing is available for the (very reasonable) entry fee for the Con. Another reason why I'll keep coming back is when my girlfriend and I had the oppertunity to meet Ximon in person last year we were struck by not only the dedication that they put into the Con but also their willingness to ask attendees what they thought about the convention and how they can improve it. But more importantly then that they actually use the suggestions, specifically featuring a newly expanded board gaming room were you can try out over a hundred different board games and a venue which cuts down on the "spread out" feel of the con.

And if the ringing endorsement of a random gamer doesn't convince you then just pop on over to the D6 Generation website and listen to their coverage of last years Templecon. We'll both be attending the 40k decimation tourny and the fantasy tourny on sunday so hopefully we'll bump into some fellow dakkites at one of those events.

Hello Everyone,

I'm running the BBCS, the Blood Bowl Championship Series. This is the first time this event will be run on the east coast, though it has been run for the last three years on the west coast, at Kubla Con.

The main differences are that you get 1.3 million gp to make your team and 30 SPP to distribute to your team members as you see fit. If you have to make a skill roll you'll need to do it in front of a judge (ie, me). The pitches are all custom, with special kick-off and weather tables. There are some awesome pitches that we'll use that are a lot of fun.

I'm also running the Warhammer Fantasy Tournament.

The Fantasy tournament is 2000 point tournament, 3 rounds. It should be a good time.

As usual, there will be the TempleCon Dog Tags as prizes, so stop by and play some games.

sadly I can't go but best of luck with your event!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Thanks for your recommendation - praise like that is what makes all of the work leading up to the con worth it!

It was great to see you guys back again via pre-registration. I'm so glad that you had a good time last year, and hope that you will enjoy the new venue.

I'll see you at the con!
