I've finally decided to stop lurking for a change and post some army pictures. I've got some counts-as Deathwing here for Dakka today. It's, of course, Termies, Land Raiders, and Dreadnoughts only, and so far, it's taken my store by surprise. I smashed Daemonhunters, Eldar, generic Codex Marines and Raven Guard with them today and yesterday. So without further adieu...

My standard 1,500 point list:

Between 2,500-3,000 points here:

Belial:

Sergeant Stone

Squad Grayson (guess which school I go to?)

Farseer getting gang-banged by Squad Grayson and Belial

Belial's valiant last stand against Shrike and his Raven Guard

I consider myself a mediocre painter, because I'm mostly self-taught, and a university student, so I don't have all the time in the world to sit down and paint. I'm not as good as half of this site, but I think I'm okay.

Thoughts? Comments?

I think a set of games workshop washes could make it look much better because the lack of highlights makes them look really plain.

I agree, a coat of wash would do these guys alot of good. Otherwise, they look ok.

I say dip it in army painter, and It would look amazing!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Thanks for being honest, all! I was planning on picking up some Badab Black and washing the helmets with that.

And what's Army Painter?

It's pretty much a wood finish that you dip your models in. Suprisingly well worth it on certain armies.

Just grab some wash or army painter. I agree with your self-evaluation of your painting skill; while not remarkably good, they're not necessarily bad at all. Some washes or Army Painter would tip the scales into the "good" range with minimal effort on your part.
