I want to know everyones opinion on the almighty Thunder Wolves.

Me, I have had amazing success with them. My last game against my good friend who is a Chaos player went very well for me with my wolves tearing up 10 Khorne Berserkers, 10 Thousand Sons with Aspiring Sorcerer, and a unit of 10 Chaos Marines. The most success he had against my unit of 5 and a Wolf Lord was with the Thousand Sons who inflicted 4 wounds in the shooting phase. They had also torn through 5 Sword Brethren and a unit of 10 Initiates plus a Master of Sanctity in a previous battle. As for my other battle, they tore through a Dark Eldar Archon and a full retinue of Inchubi. I personally plan on using a the same combination in every game I play. They do eventualy do almost die, but I have never had them completely wiped out.

Enough of my prideful bragging. I want to hear how everyone else is doing with them or how you have fared against them.

The only time I've ever faced them I focused the firepower of all 6 Vendetta gunships on them and they vaporized in a turn. So thus far all my opponent did with them was... die. However I've seen him use them against CSM and Eldar and though they almost always died they did cause fearful damage.

Aren't they like almost 50 bucks a model? Hope they are worth it though.

Well, there's no real model. Canis Wolfborn rides one and is $40. Maxmini.eu makes giant wolves for 15 euros a pop, but I think that's pretty pricey, given the fact that I don't even know how big they are. I'd like to take them, but I know they'd instantly get targeted by everything on the table.
