Here is the list for my 1000pt. army. I think it needs some tweking, well actually a lot of changes.

Yeah I'm jsut assuming this is what models you have that you are throwing together?

Farseer - Take only Fortune and Guide

DA PW/SS: drop the Exarch and 4 regs to make a 5 man squad and put them in the falcon. Attach the Farseer here.

DA Bladestorm: on foot in general are going to meet a biter end, walk them behind the falcon but in range of the avatar and hope they get a cover save

Fire dragons on foot are dead, but if footing them put them right behind the DA to hopefull give them a 4+ cover.

Scorpions give them Shadowstrike and outflank them.

Falcon get holofields on it, take a missile launcher not starcannon, and spirit stones. Have it stay right behind the Avatar to hopefully get a cover save and have the farseer cast guide on the falcon and fortune on the avatar.

I would think about taking the minimum of Fire Dragons. 8 is over kill, especially in a 1k game.

If you want to create a shield for stronger units out of infantry I'd say go for a unit of 20 guardians with the Avatar giving them fearless. They don't survive long, but they never run and they provide cover.

Actually those aren't the miniatures I have, well I have some but those are for my 500pt. army. This list is so I know what minis to get next time and so I have a good army.

Note: I'm not an expert or anything close to it But here's what I've picked up in my reading...

Well, Fire Dragon's need a transport, so they can get to the tank you want them to kill. They are dangerous as hell so you definitely want something to protect them.

Either get tem a wave serpent, or stick 'em in your falcon =]! (at which point you should drop them down to a 5 or 6 man squad). If you cut the dragon's down to 5 (with no exarch or powers) you save 65 pts, and combined with removing some upgrades from the DA units, I think you'd be able to make enough pts for a wave serpent in there (I think a cheap one with Shuriken Cannons would probably be enough).

Your farseer has 3 powers, but can only use two per turn - I'd drop one. I'm not an expert so I'm not sure whether you should drop guide or doom... Guide is nice if your Falcon is gonna sit back and shoot, but if you let it carry your fire dragons then you don't really have anything worthwhile to guide so I'd go with doom in that case, I think?

Runes of Warding are very nice so I would try to make some room for those.

If these aren't the minis that you have then you definately need to rethink.

Your "to buy" list should be:

2x Wave Serpents
2x Fire Prism

In that order

You could go two routes.
Footslogging with Farseer, fortuned Avatar, troops (DA) walking in the Avatar's fearless bubble, and some support units like FD's in a transport, Warwalkers, and Harlies for counterstrike.
Mech with Farseer, troops (DA) mounted in Serpents, FD's in Serpents, and Fire Prisms.

What do you mean my to buy list. Like just get falcons and wave serpents? Also I'm not looking for shopping list if thats what you mean, I'm looking for help to make my army better.

Well not sure exactly all of what you have but yes the to buy list is to make you army better. Like stated above you can go two ways for your list, on foot or mech. On foot is soon to get a serious hurting with the new nids dex.

My suggestion is to get wave serpents, put your DA, Fire Dragons, Scorpions, etc in them so they are protected.

Ok. This is what I have already. 10 DA including exarch, 10 guardians w/ heavy weapons platform. 3 jet bikes, farseer, and a warlock. Those are just for my 500pt. And I am planning pn getting more stuff obviously. So your saying not to get the Fire dragons and all those minis and just get wave serpants and a fire prism.

I'd say things to get are in this order...

Wave Serpent for the DA
Wave Serpent for the Dragons (but use them for DA in the meantime, split the unit into 2 5 mans)
Fire Dragons
Fire Prism
Fire Prism

Falcons are pillboxes in the 5th ed.
They are resilient when they do not come into melta range.

ok. So the only actual miniatures i get would be the FD and just have the DA in the falcons the whole game.
