Hi all.

i was assembling some deffcoptas when the support stick on 2 of them broke. so i just glued the copta to the base as if it had landed.

what i'm wondering is, are deffcoptas affected by line of sight (height) when firing? if so, how high must they be, what is the max and min height?

and if height matters, is line of sight taken from the orks eye level, or from his weapons or what?

Cheers for any clarification lads.

Orks: 2200 points and counting.

Line of Sight is always worked out based on *what the actual model looks like* - there is no mythical "height" where you pretend the model is.

As such you have not modelled the DK correctly (it is not on the base it came with, but part of the base), so you are required to ensure your opponents agree with it.

All nonvehicle untis work out their LOS by using "models eye view" - so see what the Ork inside can see.

Of course, as every other unit in the game are Deffkoptas affected by True Line of Sight when firing.

As Nosferatu says, there isn't a certain height that you have to reach for the model to be legal, rather that you use the base that came with it.

LoS is worked out from the models eyes.
