Well, this is going to be my WIP. It will primarily be focusing on the tyranid army I am starting, as I have had the space hulk models since its release this last summer.

Ok so here is the paint scheme I came up with on the other genestealer. IT IS NOT FINISHED AND MERELY HAS A ROUGH BASECOAT.

So far, what do you think of it compared to the Hive Fleet Levethian theme?

So I have essentially finished the color scheme I came up with on the "mirrored" model I had started in the Levethian theme. I would really appreciate your comments or opinions on it Vs. the Levethian theme. Also if you have any ideas for a hive fleet name, please share.

Well, since no one on here has been willing to comment, I managed to contact a friend and get his opinion. He likes it, with the exception of the teeth needing to contrast more from the purple flesh. I will experiment fixing this with washes or other colors. Tomorrow I will have pictures of progress on the Genestealers, the Siege Shield, and Hagard the Head-Hunter, Wolf Guard of Harald Deathwolf's Great Company, and leader of packs.

Trygon Prime in the Lime Light, Primed White, I'm going to take my time, I'm waiting to paint until I'm ready, When my hands steady, I'm gonna try to paint it like the Ravener on the bottom of Pg.72, but the red will be a deep-dark hue of blue. What say you?
The scheme I have decided to use is Behemoth carapace, blue claws, and flesh like that of the Ravener on the bottom of Pg. 72 in the codex.
How should I base him, or my army with in general? I was definitely thinking a diorama on his giant base.

(compared to a dread/carnifex base)

This was intentional right?

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I got the paint I needed and some other goodies I needed (or wanted ). While the "other goodies" where drying (a warm rinse to remove residue) I base-coated the carapace on the Trygon for the Behemoth style carapace. I will do all but the final touches on the darker surfaces before I start on the flesh, its a lot easier to fix light on dark than vice versa. Oh forgot to mention this, I had to pin the head, it just doesn't have a proper fit for the glue to hold it in place.

And heres what I am trying to do with the left overs. I have to wait for the current GS to dry before I can go any farther, the head-plate keeps shifting . I will be adding the brains, tail and arms later.
Oh I forgot to say I'm trying to make the doom.

Here are a couple of pics of the Trygon. he is only base-coated with the exception of the carapace on his back. The carapace was my first attempt at feathering, which went pretty well until I fudged it going over the chimneys with black.

Wohoo! I got tons of new stuff second hand from a friendThere are still 130 ga(u)nts and 14 gargoyles I couldn't fit inside the picture, or on my workspace for that matter. This is 3576 pts without any upgrades. I have a ton of stripping, GS-ing and gluing broken joints, and painting and basing to do.

Wow , thats a lot of Nid's , hope your scheme is relatively simple to paint cause your gonna get tired of painting it.

I like your trigon coming out of the base its a really dynamic pose.

Plus I'm impressed you've kept up with posting in the face of lack of feedback , consider me subscribed

Well thank you very much . The Trygon is only pinned together to make painting easier, when he is finished, he will be twisting to one side a little bit, and I plan to make dirt and rock flying away to make it even better.I'm actually really excited about painting them, but like you said, I hope I can keep the enthusiasm.
Here are the actual numbers of what I have;
*I have some listed as old, these are from 3rd edition I believe.
-2 Old Hive Tyrants
-2 different Old Lictors
-3 Zoanthropes (2 current, 1 old)
-1 Doom of Malan'tai (WIP)
-13 warriors
-50 Genestealers (about 20 are old, 22 are space hulk)
-2 Broodlors (seperate from the genestealers above)
-60 termagants
-70 hormagaunts
-5 ripper bases
-1 old ravener
-14 old gargoyles
-2 carnifexes (1 is Old one eye, the other is new)
-2 Biovores w/ spores
-1 Trygon

Ive finally decided on a base flesh color, Rotting Flesh! I found that it contrasts nicely with the carapace and claws, and should look nice when mixed with/ highlighted with bleached bone. I also really liked the slight greenish hue it had. I an redoing all the carapace on the trygon to par with the carapace i did on its head, as the rest sucked, I will post pics this weekend.
