Sitting on the roof of my house with a shotgun, and a six pack of beers

Hi All

I was scrolling through some pictures of the miniatures for Hordes (just out of curiosity) and came across Trollblood scatter gunners. At first glance i thought them might make for good Orgyns, but having never actuall seen one in the flesh I wasn't sure if the proportions would be right. I don't have a great variety on gaming stores near me so can't really find out.

What do think? would they work?

if anyone had a picture showing the scale it would be appreciated.

Thanks

They wouldn't be too bad. I have several, but no ogryns to compare them to. They are medium-size bases in Hordes, which should be a Terminator size base for 40K. They should work. They are probably slightly shorter, and less broad, but it should get the point across.

you won't be able to use them in a significant portion of tournies though since many (in order to qualify as rogue trader tournaments) use the GW tourney rules, which obviously include using only their minis. if you're not a tourney person, feel free as it sounds like a cool conversion.

Yeah i'd guess that. Not any where ready for tournies yet, was just looking for cheap orgyns.

I've seen some post where people have converted Troll kingdom figures. However I haven't seen any with good ripper guns. They have been either autocannons or Orc Shootas. This is not a knock against anyones modeling, honestly it is the last thing I mean to do, it is just they don't look like the actual ripper gun models.

I wish orgyns were cheaper

For ogryns, i was going to use converted Ogre bulls. You get 6 for £18, a lot better than 1 for £12 ogryns
