Hey guys,

I'm about to buy some meltaguns but since GW has started charging extortionate delivery rates again I need to get more for my buck by adding some stuff to the cart... I'm after a neutral blue to use as an underbelly on my Valk, kind of like the blue they'd use on the underneath of a Supermarine Spitfire.

I was wondering if Shadow Grey is a good one? I need that to work on my black uniformed figures..

Anyway, here's a pic as an example of what I am after:

shadow grey is way too dark. That grey is more like fortress grey, even in ww2, the undersides of planes went to grey, not blue, just looks blue-ish in that shot.

Maybe try Astronomican Grey, it has a slight hint of blue in it.

Hrm okay, the Valkyrie will be Codex Grey with Fortress Grey highlights, I just wanted to make the underside of the model look different and more vibrant

I was thinking it looks almost exactly like Space Wolves Grey. I just looked at my bottle of it aand held it up next to the screen shot and it looks pretty close and in my experience the Space Wolves Grey dries a bit lighter than it is when wet, so it should be perfect.

Thanks guys

I'll use that for the underbelly, I am going to go for either a fortress grey/black camo scheme on the topside or perhaps mix in some of the more blue greys like Shadow Grey... I dunno.

I was thinking Space Wolves Grey. Never understood why they called it Space Wolves Grey when it always seemed to me to be more blue than grey. I still don't understand why Space Wolves are kinda baby blue.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack
