I am just getting started with both games as we are going to be doing a "Tale of 4 Gamers" type of thing at the local store, although in our case it is planned to be "A Tale of 12 Gamers" which will be posted up on www.screamingdragon.com once it gets rolling and we get some pictures taken with games to start in February. Basically it is an escalation Campaign starting with LoTR at 150 points and buidling up to 2,000 points and WoTR with a variety of stops along the way with special rules and limitations for your army build. The ultimate goal is that you need to keep building up using the same force you start with and they remain in play throughout the campaign.

Anyways, I am running Gondor and am starting with a Grey Company. The limitations for the initial force of 150 points are that no heroes, monsters, warmachines etc can be taken, but you must have a Captain or Minor Hero leading your force. The next level is 250 points and I believe a hero of up to 75 points can be taken at that point.

For my initial force I plan on taking the following:
3 Rangers of the North all with Hand Weapon, Armor, Spear & Bow
8 Rangers of Arnor/Gondor all with Hand Weapon, Armor, Spear & Bow
The total of those 11 models comes to exactly 150 points.

At 250 points I add Arathorn, a 4th Ranger of the North and a 9th Ranger of Arnor and that comes to exactly 250 points. After that I slowly add models at each level with Halbarad and more Rangers joining the army uintil we switch over to the WoTR rules. I cannot remember at what point total we switch over maybe 1,000 points or so.

Eventually at the 2,000 Point level I have the army roster looking as follows:

1 Aragorn, Isildur's Heir (Anduril; Epic Challenge; Epic Duel; Epic Journey; Epic Strike; Inspiring Leader; Mighty Hero)

1 Faramir (Epic Sacrifice; Epic Strike; Inspiring Leader; Valour Unbound)

6 Rangers of Gondor (Armour; Bows; Hand Weapons; Pathfinders(Woodland))
1 Captain of Rangers

6 Rangers of Gondor (Armour; Bows; Hand Weapons; Pathfinders(Woodland))
1 Captain of Rangers

6 Rangers of Gondor (Armour; Bows; Hand Weapons; Pathfinders(Woodland))
1 Captain of Rangers

6 Rangers of Gondor (Armour; Bows; Hand Weapons; Pathfinders(Woodland))
1 Captain of Rangers

6 Rangers of Gondor (Armour; Bows; Hand Weapons; Pathfinders(Woodland))
1 Captain of Rangers

6 The Grey Company (Hand Weapons; Heavy armour; Longbows; Indomitable; Pathfinders(Master); Stalwart; The Value of Forgotten Arnor)
1 Halbarad

5 Blackroot Vale Archers (Hand Weapons; Heavy armour; Longbows; Ambushers; Banner Bearer ; Hornblower; Pathfinders(Mountain))
1 Duinhir

I am just wondering how feasible these army lists are or should I look at bringing in some Warriors of Minas Tirith along the way? It does not fit with my vision but I do want to make sure that I present a decent challenge to my opponents and support my Good allies in the overall campaign. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.
