Hey Dakka,
Question for you, the title says it, I want to test out three biovores in my list and was playing with the idea to model it as one bis carnifex instead of three ugly biovores or three expensive pyrovores.
Would you play me (friendly environment), how can I change the profile without unbalancing it?
Thanks for the thoughts.

P.S. Will post pics when I'm done with it....

OOOooooooooooooH!
I think i understand what you mean! thus i would let you .

I was making a mega Tau gravity tank and wanted it to be equivalent of fielding 3 hammer head ( but moving them together of course )

Maybe I was unclear. The model will be based on the carnifex model with a big spore mine cannon on the back. This model will then represent three (3) biovores. I see the problems of playing with one model instead of three from a gaming standpoint but I for one don't want to abuse any modelling.

I've heard this somewhere before, I thought it was a local guy, but it might have been you...

Personally I think it would be more trouble than it was worth. It could come out looking pretty cool and be ok for friendly games, but very dubious for any kind of tournament where you run into issues of measuring to bases, multiple hits on it from templates, ect.

For non-tourney sure. if you're playing more than a few games then the Fex has to be substantially different tha a regular fex so I can easily tell the difference.

Mh... especially the vulnerability to blast weapons made me think about this. And I could confuse many opponents, even if it's just: "oh no, there's a carnifex standing there!"

Thanks for the input, guys.
