As per title. I thought 2 hive tyrants with hive commander would stack, but appears its up in the air about it. Though it doesn't say it doesn't stack and if you took the ability twice with 2 hive tyrants then definately 2 units could outflank. I guess thats one for the rules forum..

Anyway, if 2 hive commander powers are not valid what is the best way to get tyranids from reserves on 2+ the first turn?

If they wouldn't stack, a Hive Tyrant + Swarmlord would be the only way to have 2+ on turn 2. Pheromone Trail only works the turn after a Lictor/Deathleaper has emerged, so that only works at turn 3 at the earliest, making that part of the rule mostly moot IMO.

Aye, I was thinking that. I did pop a lictor in, but like you said it needs to be on the table to work. So by the time turn 3 comes around anything will be deep striking in on a 2+ anyway.

Tyrant + Swarmlord. That is mega expensive to get T2 reserves on a 2+ though. At lesat Swarmlord is a powerhouse!
