I use a normal LR with twin linked las as my tank hunter, but as far as the crusader is concerned, what is the best use of it's talent? With the hurricane bolters, I know its an infantry killer... but should I use it to transport a squad of Terminators, or because of the larger transport capacity, use it for tactical marines?

For those who use one, what tactical areas have you had the most success?

the LRC's main job is to be a troop transport.
Use it to deliver termies right where you need them.
You could also put TAC marines in the LRC to hold an objective. This is less common.

The biggest challenge of the LRC over the classic LC variant is the distance. The LRC needs to close to be effective, and then it gets close to melta-weapons -- the best way to destroy the LRC.

The LRC's only role, and its one it which it excels, is assault unit transport followed by close range support. Good units to transport inside are terminator assault squads, lots of blood claws, large crusader squads, and basically any close-combat terminator unit or large power-armored assault unit. You drive it into your opponent's face, discharging its deadly cargo, then you support the cargo with close ranged support until your crusader is dead or you have won.

As a Black Templar player, I use my crusaider to deliver assault terminators, regular terminators with heavy flamers, or Sword Brethren with Furious charge into the face of my opponent's largest infantry unit and/or objective camper. They are an excellent "shell" to protect your troops until you get them where they need to be.

After that, go troop hunting with it. Hurricane Bolters + TL-Assault Cannon rocks the kasbah. There aren't many troop units that can take a round of 4 TL-AssCannon shots and 6 or 12 TL-Bolter shots without at least being forced to make a leadership check.
