I'm proud to report I've successfully made it another year in boycotting squid and other items I would have formerly used as bait when fishing.

That's because whenever 'gas boycotts' go around, it's always chain e-mails saying, 'don't buy gas on Wednesday, we'll drown them in their own vapors!' So then everybody just buys their gas on Thursday instead. In order for a boycott to work, people have to not buy something and then keep on not buying it, not just shifting your buying from one day to another.

That's why the boycott on here didn't work. A small minority stuck with it (and who's to say they aren't lying about sticking with it) and it lasted 2 months.
GW bean counters probably didn't even notice it and with all excitement about BM book and BA in the next couple of months any money lost on the boycott will be tripled or quadrupled in recovery from sale of those things alone (along with the new plastics to go alongside BM that lots of peeps are salivating over).

I'm "partisapating" in a boycott against blind anti-corporation rhetoric. If you don't like the stuff, don't buy it. Play your 3rd or 4th edition army, rely on your opponent for a rulebook, and adapt the rules. Maybe you even have friends who are equally disgruntled who will play old editions with you.
I, for one, just finished purchasing a rather large Imperial Guard army. I'll be going through a good bit of Citadel paints and superglue over the next couple months.
