Okay, so I just noticed the discussion about Malestrom, and was like, 30% off? WTF why don't I know about this XD. I've been paying full GW retail, and now I find out there are better places to buy these very expensive miniatures? I know I'm absent minded but now I just feel ridiculous.

SO my question: What are good places to order online for someone in the US? I saw Warstore mentioned and have looked at their website. How reliable are some of these places? What's the time frame of delivery? Does the stuff I order actually get to me? Any troubles or things to watch out for?

There is a guy on bartertown who uses thewarstore as his distributor and he offers a solid 30% off all the time on GW and he has access to their entire inventory so anythying they sell he can sell cheaper. All of my online orders are going thru him from now on as the discount can rarely be beaten and he has $6 flat rate shipping.

Do you have a link to him on Bartertown?

If he's active there, I'd feel safe ordering from him due to the extra level of protection 'built in' to that particular trading site...

So is it better to find a place that I can order from these places rather than ordering direct?

I thought Warstore was only 20% off? I know Chaosorc does 20% off and at times 25% on certain items. You have to dig around on the website to find them.

My understanding of the post was that the Bartertown guy was acting as a retailer and using the War Store as his distributor, so he's getting an even better discount than normal, but probably has to make regular large orders.

ordering from certain online dealers, such as the Warstore, may be better than buying at your FLGS. Not only are they well stocked, and super fast, but they have a huge breadth of other lines which fill in all those annoying gaps that the demise of metal GW figures has left. And to be frank, the Warstore is more reliable than most stores you have ever shopped in.

Also, you can often avoid sales tax through careful shopping, which in California at least, is a significant discount. Be aware of course that online sales may be retroactively taxable by your state.

Well I called Neal (nice guy, I like him very friendly) and it seems awesome. A great discount and since I like to buy models in bulk it works out ever better. I always felt awkward walking to the cash register with like six kits.

I'll probably order a firewarrior kit or something and see how that works out to test the water.

Speaking of Bartertown.. I don't know of any of our Advertisers who do that, specifically. If you are thinking about Bitkingdom, I was not aware he uses the Warstore much..

Neal can be trusted... after a few weeks of e-mails back and forth, I finally ordered @ $900 worth of crons from him (comission work) it shipped for $5.95 (huge box) and I had it in less than a week. *this was 2 years ago*

Warstore is great. Maelstrom is okay (takes a little longer to get your stuff). Both are reliable. Neals' Black Friday and after Christmas Sales were fantastic also.

Warstore is fantastic. I'm in the middle of spending $800 on a guard army through them. Have got everything w/in a week so far. Will definitely be using them again.

Malestrom is not 30% off it's 10% off the rrp in pounds. Which equals to roughly 30-50% off the instore prices here in Australia.

Do you just PM him...? I didn't see a thread stating that he can get anything for 30% off (although he does have one saying he's thinking of starting a brick-and-mortar store...) but he certainly has excellent references on Btown

I mentioned back when building my space marines what all I needed and how much I was willing to pay, then he hit me up with his prices and I bought a solid $180 at that discount from him. Oddly enough it shipped faster than when I bought directly from the warstore.

Just PM him a list of item numbers from thewarstore and he'll give you the discounted prices and a total with shipping.
