Subject: John Stewart slams Olbermann (right in the glasses...)
Jon Stewart targeted MSNBC's Keith Olbermann on The Daily Show last night, slamming the host with his own "special comment."
Stewart put on a pair of glasses and impersonated Olbermann, mocking him for his over-the-top critique of Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R-MA): 'Now you are just calling people names."
Probably the funniest skit I have seen from Stewart in years. Absolutely freaking hilarious.
Unfortunately, the video link is from Hulu, sorry non-americans... .
Note:
If you dislike Olbermann... just watch this clip.

Olbermann is the worst possible reaction to Fox News: becoming like them. I'm sorry that this just gives conservatives (who are paradoxically not aware that this kind of sensationalism is their mother tongue--or perhaps are and get angry to have it stolen) more ammunition against liberals.
That is the funniest I've ever seen Jon Stewart. Nice find.
He's the guy who is going to be replaced as king of the knee-jerk reactionary blowhard anchormen by CNN's Rick Sanchez in a couple of years. Don't worry, because then the heavens will part and Lou Dobbs will descend to Earth in a flaming chariot, Jack Parr at his side to end our miserable existence in a storm of righteous indignation the like of which will even make Ann Coulter weep tears of blood.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I like Maddows better, she's also a knee-jerk liberal but every now and again she does actual journalism which puts her one up on most of the news networks.
Last week she described CNN as trasscribers for repeating someone's talking points. Ouch.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.
Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

It was a decent bit by Stewart, it wasn't that funny but it was very good anyway - Olbermann has gotten a lot worse pretty steadily. Credit to the Olbermann for manning up, showing Jon's clip in full and and conceding the point, and now it's left to time to see if he turns it around improves the quality of his show.

He's a media commentator who rose to prominence in during the Bush years, for generally pretty solid criticisms of the administration. But it was pretty easy to build solid criticisms of Bush, and since then Olbermann has floundered quite badly, and has started moving over that line that distinguishes editorial from partisan hatchet campaigns.
“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

Yup. He used to be great. Entertaining like Limbaugh, but much more factual. He's been lurching off on the quality more recently, though.
Jon Stewart is a gosh darn genius, and this is another piece of evidence that The Daily Show mocks and criticises all sides.
