if so, could you take a pic of one on the base? i'm curious to see if the base is big enough for the defiler/soulgrinder models. it's always bugged me that they're not based for several reasons but most of all from a visual asthetic of not matching the rest of the army. thanks in advance!

They are too small but could be used for aesthetic purposes.

i suspect thyou can put the legs on the base and have them fit since the final part of the limbs turn inward. the model would still over hange the base at the knees and the front claws, though... hopefully someone will have both models and take a pic.

I can't find his other legs off hand, but until someone posts a picture with Defiler in better condition, here's one for a quick size comparison.

thanks! it looks like if you model it with the legs a bit inward that it should fit.

The revenge of the tip-toe defilers is almost upon us.

Maybe you could mount the two rear pairs of legs on the base, and have the front pair elevated, perhaps putting the entire model in a "rearing back to crush puny humans" pose.

If you put the base sideways you could have the 4 ground legs on the base in a fairly wide stance, with the pincers off the ground. If you wanted the oval to be more length wise you might have to model the legs bent inward a bit.

I like this idea. That has a lot of potential for being pretty cool.

You could also flock a cd and use as a base for your defiler.

Or buy some thick plasticard or hardboard and use that to whatever size you like.
