I have used a list very much like this before, and so far it has done surprisingly well, torching units out of covers, or simply putting too many wounds on a unit for their armor to really help them. I am just thinking that the leap to two squads of Celestials would give a far more effective torch unit, and with the Cannoness they can go hunting after all the MC out there.

any words from the veteran players of this dex is very much wanted, if anyone can see a way to improve on this design please let me know.

well thats kind of helpful. I was hoping for some constructive criticism, not just the plain old criticism on the list.

if you don't like that list, each to their own, but if you just want to knock it without offering a way to better it, or give a reason why it's so bad, why even post at all about it?

You've bought in Vulkan and have a total of 2 MM and 2 meltas in tac squads that make use of his ability? Why? If you're going with Vulkan you need an all space amrin army to get value out of his TL goodness, what the point in all the sisters with him in the list?

in response to the whole Vulkan only twin linking those with combat tactics, does this mean Dreadnoughts and Land Speeders don't have twin linked Meltas or flamers? in all the games I have played so far,with allies in my list, they have been part of the army. it has never come up, the rules clearly state as follow word for word “If you include He’stan then all units in your army lose the Combat Tactics Speical rule. Instead, all thunder hammers in your army will count as master-crafted,and all flamers, heavy flamer, meltaguns and multimeltas count as twin-linked.” meaning all units that have tactics, lose them and in exchange the whole army (dreadnoughts, speeders and allies) have twin linked weapons. reading over the FAQ it has not be stated "fixed", saying Vulkan doesn't work with sisters is like saying Lysander's Bolter drill won't work on a squad of attached Boltgun Sisters . meaning, my two tactical Marine Squads, trade in Combat Tactics(being the only units with them) and the army as a whole gains the abilities.

but this is not a rules argument, even without twin linking the sisters they have an amazing ability to ignore cover, get a bunch of Ap1 ignore cover shots letting my flamers pull light anti armor, freeing those meltas up so they can go chase av11+.besides its nice to have two heavy flamers in a single squad, and the 12" shoot-able twinlinked heavy flamers(bought this way) give a nice mobile flamer squad. wait till the guys are about 18 away, jet forward to greet them and drop a bunch of templates on them. I was told Seraphim would be a good unit to take, any ideas on how I should gear them out, or should I take a kitted out Dominion squad in an Immolator?

With only 2 weapons at 48" range, you're going to have issues on a 6'x4' table against a mobile army. Maybe find the points to squeeze in Land Speeders with HF/MM? You could start finding the points by getting rid of all the dozer blades (unless your FLGS really uses that much difficult terrain) and the extra armor off the Razorbacks.

As for Seraphim: 8-10 in a squad with 2 flamers, and a VSS with an eviscerator

I like the extra armor, it allows my tanks to keep moving, and I would rather be able to move over becoming an auto hit just because some str5 weapon got a six and then rolled a 3 on the . as for dozer blades, yeah most of the boards I am on have at least 50% terrain, so they are a bit needed. as for range, yeah its light, but they have to close the distance some time, and being able to put my tanks into cover with minimal risks helps me avoid alot of incoming fire.

now to the Seraphims, I have never been impressed with Str 6 Powerfists, are they really worth it?

Str 6 + 2d6 for armor penetration against rear AV 10...I'd say so. It just gives your unit a little extra punch in CC (after the Seraphim shoot the enemy to pieces) and some versatility.

good point, when I bring this list up to 1750+ I will be looking to add some Jet Pack Girls then. any other ideas, should I consider turning one of those Celestial squads to a Melta squad?
