Hello all! Well I have picked a colour scheme for my marine force, the Mentors Chapter, i.e. Green and White.

My question is as follows. In the codex it makes no mention of any special characteristics.

However, after searching the net, I have found that some special rules exist for them, and they have different equipment to other chapters.

I just want to run them as a vanilla army, is this possible? Or would I have to use the special rules etc?

You can run them as a vanilla army with no problems.

Generally what you do with a chapter is paint them how ever you want them to look like. Then you pick a rules set, any one will do, and you stick to that. If you want to rename the characters for your chapter that's fine as long as you stick to one rules set and have something to prove that you are actually using the published stats and not making it up.
