Was playing Chaos with my HE the other day.

The chaos had a wizard with the following item. Can't for the life of me remember what the item is called, but basically it means that when the wizard enters combat whoever is in base contact with him immediately suffers one wound with no saves allowed.

So my question is, is the chaos player allowed to move his wizard in the front ranks on the turn he charges so it lines up against my lord/hero/champion??

He actually lined it up against the hero and caused him a wound. Is this allowed? And also would I be able to move my guy out of his way at all, i.e. let one of the rank and file take the wound?

1) You possibly mean the Blasphemous Amulet - it requires you take a Toughness test or lose a wound. there is no item which causes you to automatically lose a wound just by being in base contact!

2) You can only move in your phase, and only if your unit is not charging. So the turn before he charged he needed to move the Sorceror such that it was opposite your model.

You cannot move your model until your turn - however remember he HAS to challenge, so there is a good chance your Hero is in the challenge anyway, and therefore counts as in base contact assuming it can move.
