Subject: Taking my Salamanders from 1500 to 1750

So here is the current salamander list i've been playing with, and in this form has not lost a game (a few draws however).
Vulkan He'stan - 190
5 Thunderhammer and Storm Shield Terminators - 200
Land Raider Redeemer, extra armour, Multi-melta - 265
Ironclad Dreadnought, 2 Heavy Flamers - 150
Tactical squad, 10 men, melta gun, Multi-melta, Power fist, Rhino APC - 235
Tactical squad, 10 men, melta gun, Multi-melta, Power fist, Rhino APC - 235
Landspeeder, Heavy Flamer, Multi-melta - 70
Landspeeder, Heavy Flamer, Multi-melta - 70
Predator, Heavy bolter sponsons - 85
Total - 1500
Yes, bar the rhinos and one of my pet favourites the destructor, everything takes full advantage of what Vulkan has to offer. After playing with Salamanders since the I3 days (which were fine) i'm glad that my Salamanders are a seriously scary force, I feel like what the hardcore Dark Elf WFB players must feel (though their case is much more extreme).
Now i would love some C&C on my list.
The only part of it which rarely underperfoms is the Ironclad, but i do love this guy.
Now i'd like some advice with adding another 250.
The obvious plan is another tactical in rhino squad, also giving me a third scoring unit.
But what do you guys think?

I would forgo the third tactical squad in a rhino, and get rid of the predator and take more TH/SS terminators to walk behind the LRR or deepstrike, throw the Ironclad in a pod. I also like putting a Chaplain in power armor in with the 5 TH/SS termies and Vulkan in the Redeemer. Honestly, one reroll to hit is nice but re rolling all failed to-hit rolls on the first turn of combat charging out of a LRR (especially with two I5 characters to soften things up for the hammers) is a very powerful thing.

@jaweyermuller: two I5 ICs? The chappy is I4.
Yes. That Ironclad needs a drop pod (I like the deathwind launcher on the pod...but I may be alone on an island). I didn't notice it didn't have one until I read muller's suggestion. You could drop the Ironclad for a regular Dreadnought with 2 HF in a pod for the same points cost.
Another option is get a Chaplain for 100 points and then get a 5 man tac squad with a combi-flamer in a razorback with a HK missle for 150 points. Beef up your assault and add a scoring unit.
I think the 6 man unit in the LRR works pretty well on its own. So another option is just to add 2 5 man Assault squads with a flamer and a power weapon to support your Tac squads or to pursue vulnerable units.

oops yes the Chaplain is I4 The assault squads wouldn't be a bad back up either, and the regular dred in a pod with dual HF is a good option too. I think you may be on an island about the deathwind launcher...

My ironclad not being in a droppod isn't great. However, thank god it can run, it can normally either back up or cause a distraction for the rhinos.
Also simply, i'd like a pod, but even though they're cheap there is not anything i'd want to drop for it.
Maybe i'm lucky, but my predator never lets me down, 7 shots even only with ap4 ends up killing enough to get it's points back.
Not too keen on the assault marines, i don't like them for the game or for the fluff... 2 speeders is enough FA for me.
Razorbacks are cool, though i have never been sold on the HKmissile.
I do like the idea of a chaplain. If i take a chaplain, should i not just take (and re-name) Cassius. Especially with a combi-flamer! For 25pts extra, he does seem worth it.

I don't like taking an named character that isn't specifically for my chapter but that's just me. If you want to take Cassius by all means do, he is an awesome choice for a chaplain.
