hello all
so after a very long fight with my self I have chosen my space marine chapter, the iron knights. I like the paint and think the idea is great. I have been looking for background on them on Google Yahoo and Bing. literaly the only thing I could find was that they were on a year long penance crusade ( which I dont really like) and that they are a second founding chapter of the imperial fists (which is cool). They are apparently a GW created chapter.
now the reason I post is because I suck at creating fluff and the other fan made fluff that I have seen is just way to cheesy for me to use.
any help guys
even a thought?
oh and there home world is named Brycantia
thanks all

Well, I belive they can be found in the sm codex.
Since they are an imperial fists second founding chapter, they probably have traits that their founders have.
So, they're probably good at fortifying posistions.
They also probably have a grudge with either a csm legion or a xenos race.
Here's a go:
The Iron Knighs' fortress world of Brycantia is perhaps one of humanities greatest points of defence at the eastern edge of Segmentum Solar. From here the Knighs maintain order across the entire system of Sarex, where Brycantia is located at the center. Recent chaos incursions have rendered many of the planets lifeless husks. refuges flock from across the system to the protection of Brycantia's walls. In space the Iron's knight's modest fleet holds a fragile superiority over the chaos warships who are poorly maintained and organized. Whenever a a part of the chaos fleet manages to break past the blockade, they rarely are able to do any real dammage to the any of the vast bastions that stretch across the planet's largest continent.
Meh.

When I started SM's, I was considering Iron knights very much. In fact, I wrote a bit of fluff down, which I might be able to find lying around...
Anyway, remember that they've won the Feast of blades twice in a row, and are the only chapter ever to do so.
*Ferrets away trying to find fluff sheet*

I remember that they're supposed to be quite spuerstitious and reclusive. Only heading into battle when the omens dictate it. Which must be pretty often because they're reputed to fight like deamons.

I currently use the Iron Knights as my marine army. I haven't made any more back story for them so far. I imagine that GW made the back story for them and then stopped so that people can make their own up for them.
