Hi again im starting warmachine already but since they dont sell warmachine or any PP products in my only LGS i have to scratch build the figs

but i can get figs in another city but i dont have enough money to pay plus my parents wont allow me to get something shipped to our house at an expensive price(my parents dont know the cost of my hobbies). so im stuck with sratchbuilding my figs

i have some old mageknight and heroclix figs ,are these the same scale as warmachine figs? (ex. the dr doom heroclix fig converted to look like magnus) would it be the same size?

thanks alot

Warmachine human sized figures are 30mm. You can do head swaps with GW plastics and they look ok. GW hands look over scaled even on Warmachine figures.

The base sizes is what matters. As long as the figures work for you, the only thing that impacts the rules is the base they are one. Small based models are on 30mm round bases, medium is on 40mm and large is on 50mm.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

There are no figs sold in my area either, so do what i do. Go to this site call the warstore. Niel is a great owner, you get awesome customer support, and if your worried about shipping and handling he reduces the prices on his online models. For small orders this covers the cost of shipping and for large ones your getting one hell of a freaking discount. Models get shipped ups but one time I had a backorder in my order so as soon as it came in he fedex expressed it to me no extra cost of course. End result, i got all my models before game night. Pretty cool.
