Hey there. Just rejoining the wargaming hobby after 10 years absence. I used to play WHFB back in high school and had some fun but stopped trying to play when I moved to Atlanta to go to college. Recently a friend mentioned he was building a 40k army and I caught the bug again. Right now I'm finishing up building an IG army and starting to paint it. Happily I still have an old SM army sitting around so now its time to start trying to find some people to play!

You're in my boat then, nowhere extremely close to play (stone's throw away from Emory myself). There are several options for places to buy models/supplies and play in the Atlanta area, but all outside the 285 perimeter.
In the Northeast you have Phoenix Games, Tower Games, and The Gaming Pit (more E-NE), there's Gigabytes and Hobby Town to the Northwest, Hobby Hangout to the West, and Treefort Games to the South.

you've got a pretty complete list from malecus. i actually play weekly at Heroes Comics in Newnan but it's a bit of a drive from where you are so i wouldn't recommend it ( lol, i personally don't find it sensible to drive more than 20 minutes to play toy soldiers on a regular basis). i can heartedly recommend treefort though and that's a bit closer to you. plenty of parking, lots of table and terrain. they've also got a tourney coming up on february 13th. maybe i'll see you there!

Hmm, treefort is interesting, its just down the road from the homebrew shop I usually go to, maybe I can start combining my trips.
