Subject: Alternative Models for the Beastmen Book?

Right the new Beastmen book actually looks really good, I just saw it today and can't wait to actually start reading it properly. However all the new releases don't excite me, there either bad models or too expensive or in the case of the Razorgor both! So I'm looking at other companys stuff. Specifically I'm interested in alternatives for Bestigor, Razorgor, Cygor, Ghargor, Jabberwocky and Harpies. I already use a lot of Wargames Factory stuff for Centigors (Ancient Horse Sprue combined with various Citadel kits), Chariots(Celtic Chariots) and Ungors (Ancient Germans although Celts would also work)http://www.wargamesfactory.com/webstore ......As well as out of production Rackham, Avatar of War( http://www.arena-deathmatch.com/) and Malifaux ( http://wyrd-games.net/) characters any other recommendations? I'll post my own ideas back here as well! Automatically Appended Next Post: http://www.heresyminiatures.com/demons_main.htm Seem to have Hellbeasts which would make far far superior Razor Gor!

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

The hellbeast looks like a good substitute for the razorgor! But then again, so does almost anything other than an empty toilet paper roll

Yeah actually the Warmachine Angelis or Seraph would make a good Jabberwocky I think I'm going to go for the Seraph. Also reckoning on it Ghouls with Gargoyle wings should work well for the Harpys!

Makes sense I reckon it's going to be a stock conversion feel free to do it as well. If I didn't want other people to try I wouldn't post it in a public domain!

There was actually a pretty cool conversion awhile back of Centigors using the Wood Elf horses and then the Gor kits.
Although, I'd say Bestigors would be pretty easy using the Gors and the Kroot armor bits.

I went looking for Jabber models and I found a couple, though this is by far the best:
Blood Moon Miniatures - $30
It may be a retcon'd Reaper jabberwock, but whatever, it's big, looks the part and is decently priced.

I've been looking at D&D miniatures online tonight and I was wondering how the Vrock and Beholder would scale as a Cygor and Jabberslythe?

No idea on scale, but I like the beholder = jabber proxy There should be a bunch of different sculpts out there, Reaper, clix, etc.

Actually the Beholders a Cygor the scale works great its a fairly imposing model I'll bung pictures up in a bit for the Jabberslythe I'm using an Everblight Seraph I picked up 2nd hand at my FLGS I'll bung them up in a bit. Although if I ever want to go with the "Always 2 Slythe their are the master and the apprentice that works as well. I'll bung up shots in a moment. Automatically Appended Next Post: Here you go the Beholder's (Cygor) the latest D&D one and the Seraph (Jabberwocky) is from the Warmachine Legion of Everblight range.
