well after playesting stuff and going over the new codex I've figured out what I would like to use in my army.
HQ
280-swarmlord
120-2x tyrant guard
Elite
180-3x zoanthropes
180-3x zoanthropes
Troops
205-Tervigon w/ adrenal glands, toxin sacs, catalyst, cluster spines
205-Tervigon w/ adrenal glands, toxin sacs, catalyst, cluster spines
75-15x termagants
75-15x termagants
148-6x genestealers+broodlord, all w/ toxin sacs
Heavy Support
265-Tyrannofex w/ rupture cannon, cluster spines
250-Trygon prime w/toxin sacs
So basic idea is to run a solid center aroun the swarmlord, tervigons, gaunts, zoans, and tyrannofex while the trygon and genestealers act as my disruption units. with the gaunts and zoans i can give cover to the tervigons who can give cover to the tyrannofex. so pretty much everyone has a cover save or an inv save while out in the open, denying low AP weapons any advantages other than negating FNP.
Any suggestions, comments, or criticism? all are greatly appreciated
and thank you for looking!

Zoanthropes need myceptic spores or will get blown off the board before they do anything.
I see the broodlord as a meh upgrade. Profile wise just a funky genestealer, powers wise just does -1 on leadership which would be good for units in close combat (does it affect these?) and ones which you plan to hammer with shooting, but not wipe them out. I personaly feel that x amount more genestealers would be better instead of a broodlord.
Trygons really need to come in pairs or else one is just going to die very quickly to plasma and melta fire. Two units of plasma or melta veterans will have a field day with a trygon, if they all hit.

Meh after a whole bunch of playtesting I'd say broodlord is worth it if you are looking to be able to punch armor on the outflank or attack a heavy hq unit, otherwise vanilla 'stealers are better.
I personally don't think the tyrannofex is worth it though simply b/c of bs3.

The Tervigons are marked for 10 points more than they cost, each. Otherwise, those four units are good.
Why give Toxin Sacs to a Trygon? I'd rather have 2+ to wound MEQ than 4+ with a re-roll.
That is a very small squad of stealers.
Given what you're working with, you're probably better off just taking a Hive Tyrant with Old Adversary.
I have found out the hard way that this style list only works if the opponent is foolish enough to assault you. Smart players will hold back and fight off the small distractions while blasting away at the big gribblies.

Ive considered dropping the trygon for more outflaking genestealers, and ill keep the broodlord so i can screw with leadership or just have a better chance at punching armor.
zoans with FNP tend to take a bit of fire to kill and honestly they are just distractions to draw fire off the other guys. yeah they kill stuff good but they take alot of firepower to get rid of if you give em FNP.
swarmlord is there because tyranids really have no other answer to nob bikers in CC and if i can bait well enough i can get the charge and tear throught them and make them run away and get eaten.
i think dropping the trygon and getting more stealers is the answer.....

I disagree. I suggest dumping that tyrannofex, move a tervigon to HQ, and deliver more genestealers. I don't like the use of smaller units of genestealers, but they will help to keep the opponent reserving firepower for the threat of an outflanking unit.

Sure you can FNP the zoeys but isn't that better off being used on other, more important units than something you intend to just be a distraction? Zoeys in a pod is very distracting, let me tell you. You react pretty strongly to that landing in the middle of everything. That would leave you to FNP either the tervigons so they last long enough to spew forth a true horde, or the screening gaunts to tarpit the hell out of them.
I like the T-Fex though. Trygons, while I haven't played them yet, seem like such a waste if you aren't popping up two. I'd drop him and take another T-Fex, but that's just personal taste. Either way, only one of the T-Fex or the Trygon pretty much says "Shoot me at the exclusion of everything until I am dead," and that will maybe be one round of shooting, each. Take two of either or none of both. Pick which model you like more and have fun.
