Say a vampire player had a champion in a challenge with an Arch Lector with Van Horstman's Speculum. If the nearby Vampire Lord wanted to give the champion's unit his WS of 7 using the Helm of Commandment, would the Arch Lector be able to use that WS using the VHS?

I can see arguments on both sides (like a magic sword that gives +1 S wouldn't pass that on through the VHS but at the same time, the champ's WS is now 7), so what does Dakka think and why?

Thanks!

VHS changes stat lines, not cumulative effects from magic items.

So VHS does not gain the WS7.

VHS uses the sta line, not any bonuses elsewhere. No Increased WS, sorry...
