So, I called Gee Dub today, and asked about multiple close combat weapons.

The guy on the phone told me that if a model is armed with 2 close combat weapons, you have to pick which one you are using, so a hive tyrant has to use either the Lash whip and bone sword. He was using the generic rule that two weapons with special rules confer no bonuses, and have to be picked.

I then asked him, what about 2 sets of scything talons? He reads the rules and says that they can be combined, and you add the +1 attack for having 2 close combat weapons.

I said to him, no you don't, tyranids have special rules, I said that if he didn't know what he was talking about, just to say so.

He then said; " I haven't even read the whole codex yet, what page does it say that you don't get the +1 attack for two close combat weapons?"

I said; "you mean to tell me you are answering rules questions and don't even know what you are talking about. This call was pointless, if you don't know, just say so."

I then hung up the phone.

I fear that clueless people will make the faqs for us, and tyranids will be not only power nerfed, but uber nerfed.

Yikes.
