company command squad-50 pts.
astropath-30pts
ELITES
2 5-man strormtroopers with re-roll deep strike-170 pts.
1 flamer 1 melta and 1 plasma pistol per unit-50 pts.
1 ratling squad-30 pts.
TROOPS
3 veteran squads-210pts.
2 flamers and 1 melta per unit-60 pts.
3 chimeras-165 pts.
multi laser, heavy flamer and extra armour on each-45 pts.
FAST ATTACK
1 scout sentinel-35 pts.
1 valkyrie-100 pts.
lascannon-15 pts.
HEAVY SUPPORT
3 leman russ exterminator-450 pts.
lascannon and extra armour on each tank-90 pts.
UNIT STRATEGIES:
SCOUT SENT. & VALKYRIE-I enjoy isolating them on one corner of the board so that the enemy will have to send at least something to attack them or suffer some flanking shots, and if they do destroy them then it is only 150 pts. (a drop in the bucket normally)
3 EXTERMINATORS & 3 CHIMERAS-These i use as an iron spear, depending on the terrain i will deploy them away from the sentinel and valkyrie in the middle or on the far board edge. Throughout the game these guys will cruise around killing anything in its path.
2 STORMTROOPER SQUADS-With the help of my astropath these guys should be in on the second turn and i use them as a suicide squad to drop in on the enemy armour and monstrous creatures that think they are hiding, and hopefully kill something important before they are pasted
RATLING SQUAD-This was a leftover 30 points that i decided would be useful just to be able to put somewhere on the enemies half of the table, where they may have an opportunity to shoot a monstrous creature or special character.
So any comments and criticism are welcome

Ok dump the storm troopers. or at most take one squad with 2 melta guns, give them the airborne operations and hope you kill a tank when they deep strike, but even then its still way too expensive for their abilities. Use the points to give your command squad a chimera and upgrade one exterminator to have pask
Give your veterans a more defined role, one squad with 3 flamers (or 2 and a heavy flamer) and the other with 3 melta guns. Or both squads with melta guns because who doesn't use tanks nowadays?
If no one is going to be using the valkyrie as a transport uprage it to a vendetta and have it blast 3 lascannons from your back line. Scout sentinel, what is it armed with just the basic multi laser? give it an autocannon and always have it outflank. S7 on side armour is always good in my book
3 Exterminators, now there is a man after my own heart. Pask in an exterminator is one of the best leman russ options available, he can deal with anything short of a land raider. If you can find the points (maybe drop the astropath) give them side sponsons. 6 extra heavy bolter shots are definitely worth the 20 points
Oh I didnt see your tactics section. Strom troopers as a suicide squad are just too expensive in my book. Outflanking valkyries and vendettas is not always the best option, the vendetta can lay down so much fire that you usually want him there on turn 1. And ratlings, I love the little guys but they seem redundant with your exterminators and chimeras

-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake. |

Give Company command squad 4 meltas or plasmas and mount in a Chimera with Multi Laser and hull heavy flamer. This is a good anti land raider or marine unit.
Dump the storm troopers they are really expensive and veterans are better because they score.
Dump the ratling squad too.
Veterans should either have 3 meltas or plasmas and be mounted in chimeras. Skip extra armor as it is too expensive for 1 result on the table.
Drop Scouts sentinel they are pretty easy to kill and a single one is a free kill point.
If you want your Valkyrie to have las cannons run the Vendetta for 15 points more and you get 3 TL las cannons.
Drop the Leman Russ Exterminators. 3 leman russ exterminators aren't very good Just so expensive as an auto cannon platform. If you want auto cannons take them in infantry squads or take Hydras. Huge waste of 450 pts here. Extra armor is not worth the points on shooty vehicles.
If you want the auto cannons take Hydras instead or infantry platoon or infantry inside chimeras.
Add more Vendettas for long range anti tank. Add a Psyker Battle Squad. either 6 or 8 Psykers in a Chimera.
You might be ok with 3 veterans for troops at 1500 but at 1750 I really like to have 4 troops choices.

i may be the only person who feels this way but i dont like to put more than one melta gun in a squad for the reason that you normally only get one shot to kill somethin with a melta before you get assaulted and tied up. yes i know that three chances is better than one but with all the money saved by putting one melta in a unit i can buy more units, which i feel like is the guard strength (numbers).
my reasoning for the storm troopers being a suicide squad is to kill transports or dangerous tanks in order to force them to walk or not have their heavy support anymore, then they are also faced with killing or ignoring them which are both detrimental to whatever their game plan was
but i agree with you on the ratlings i just figured on getting another unit rather than guns for others, but i might take you up on loosing them and the astropath for heavy bolters on the exterminators
also a curious question can you shoot both of your hellstrike missiles in the same turn from a stationary valk
AT Kirika-i have to disagree that extra armour isnt worth it cuz as soon as a tank sits still it just asking to get run up on by a power fist or monstrous creature just my opinion

3 meltas is the right number. With 3 shots at BS4 you hit with 2. Assuming you roll good and penetrate with both with AP1 you get 1 kill shot on a 4+ on the damage table.
If you want to kill land raiders or dangerous tanks run Veterans with 3 meltaguns and demolitions for melta bombs in Valkyries. If you get first turn you can scout move and fire turn assault with melta bombs on a vehicle that didnt move. If not Valkyrie can move fast enough to get you in melta range.
If you want to run a regular valkyrie get the missle pod upgrade. 2 large blast templates is great for killing infantry.
Hellstrikes are just bad I think they are ordinance so you can only fire one. If you want to kill takes take the Vendetta.
Extra Armor gets expensive as you add it on several vehicles you could have bought another Chimera. Spending points to increase your fire power or mobility not for what if scenarios.
