this is my 1750 list... it needs some work any suggestions?!?!

HQ:
Shrike - 195
Chaplin - 130 (+30 Terminator Armor)

Elites:
Melee Terminators(5) - 200 * will be attached to the chaplin, and going in LRC
Ironclad Dreadnaught - 180 (+0 extra armor, +0 Chain Fist,+ 0 Melta-Gun, +0 Close Combat Arm, +10 Heavy Flamer, +35 Drop Pod)

Troops:
Tactical Squad(5) - 130 (+40 Razorback w/ heavy bolter)
Tactical Squad(5) - 130 (+40 Razorback w/ heavy bolter)

Fast Attack
Assault Marines(10) - 205 (+15 Power Sword) * will be attached to shrike

Heavy Support:
Land Raider Crusader - 275 (+10 Multi-Melta, +15 Extra Armor)
Land Raider - 250

i was thinking, maybe up grade razorbacks to have assault cannons for 35pts or give the tac marines drop pods with death wind launchers...?

What do you intend to do with this list?? Tactical squads will be in reserve capping objectives (right?) and your only units being assault termies and 10 jump marines. Three land rinders are cheesy but you have to have right company for them. 10 jump marines will be killed right off and lone land riders will not be able to inflict that much of damage. I would totally drop dreadnought for one more assault terminator squad This gives you 10 terminators with potencial of 1st turn assault which isnt bad (12" move, 2" disembark, 1,5" base size, 1-6" fleet, 6" assault). If you can find the points add two flamers to assault squad and MM for both LR. And probably make both LR regular with lascannons to be antitank. Oh and drop razorbacks for more rhinos.

Mud company 2000 pts.
Colonel Hermann Winter's Armoured fist 1500 pts.
Armored battlegroup 1750 pts.
Death korps of Krieg 4000 pts.
FoW germans 5000 pts.
BFG Imperial fleet 2500 pts.
Necromunda gang 2500 credits

My major critique is that you don't have enough scoring firepower. You have a total of 10 scoring models, which will be able to hold 2 points, at best. In objective games, they will die, since your opponent will focus on removing them from the objective, and if its a 5 objective game, you literally can't win with the amount of troops you have.

A 1750 list isn't the point limit to be puling out the stops with Land Raiders and Terminators.

Remove one land raider, lose the Ironclad, trade your Razorback for Rhinos, take properly equipped 10 man tac squads (Powerweapon/fist, special weapon and heavy weapon) and add a third troop choice. Also, give your Assault Marines flamers.

I would drop the dread and one of the land raiders along with the assault squad, using those points and the 54 you are missing from the total point value to get at least 30 tactical marines on the table, in squads of 10. I have always found that spamming tactical squads works wonders with a good SM force.

Your list seems a little all over the place, too many different kind of units doing all sorts of different things. I don't think it would support that "boom" that Space Marines really need to win a tough match.

i want to play the blood angel codex when it comes out. i like the idea of melee and i know its all over the place right now, i just want something semi decent to play with. my problem is i can never get tac squads to work, also what heavy weapon do you normally put with the 10mans? PC, LC, ML?

shrike and his 10 guys have always been OP and destroy unit to unit. they are a big bullet magnet but they always make up their points and then some, same with the termies and LRC.

the dreadnaught also has always made up its points and been awesome...

land raider with laz i havent used it much and i only have it in there because im not sure how much anti armor to have i guess i could do 3 tac squads, 2 with laz and 1 with pc? then for the special weapon mm/flamer?

what do you think would be better, drop pod or rhinos? i was thinking at least one drop pod simply because you can put the death wind launcher on it and it makes a nice target, on objective games you drop it right on the objective now you have a squad there and a big pie plate to shoot at if someone else takes the objective.

ill try to write up a new list, just curious about the 10man squads heavy weapon and rhino/predator.

The land raider with las is fail. You are better off replacing it with 2 predators with ac/las sponsons and saving 10 points if you are concerned about anti-tank.

Not enough scoring is the theme for this list. I also find it hard to believe that shrike and the assault marines manage to kill 400 points of stuff every game. Not saying shrike is bad or what else you could do with him, but assault marines are pricey for what they do.

Iron Clads in pods are not so good anymore. AV 13 is not much better protection than AV12 to melta fire. Either drop it altogether or simply go with a standard dread with mm in a pod.

Chappy in terminator armor? Try Cassius instead.

Here is a sample list and it's by no means optimized:

Shrike
Cassius

3 x 10 man tac squad w/flamer/mm/rhino

5 man assault terminator squad w/th/ss w/lrc w/mm

10 man assault marine squad w/2xflamer/sgt w/pf

Predator w/ac/las spons

1750 even.

You could also replace the mm with ml's if you so desired.

Well, if the people you play with allow shrike's infiltrate ability to confer itself to whichever unit he is leading, then i would suggest that you take a 5 man vanguard squad instead of the assault squad.

Yes it is less durable, but it is far more killy, and there is simply no way that you would be unable to get a first turn charge against a unit if you used Shrike in this manner.

Aside from that, imweasel has probably given you a list that is both true to the spirit of your original list and much more competitive.
