Hi I've just read something on a thread that confused me concerning cover. Say I was to shoot with a SM tactical squad at a squad of Boyz and there was another of my SM squads of some type in the way, would the Boyz get cover, (the thread implied such) or would it have to be an Ork unit it get a cover save?

They get a cover save. ANY intervening units grant the cover save, even your own.

Cover is provided by any unit, friend or foe, that is not the unit firing, or being fired upon.

Cheers guys, I had it my head that your opponents could only hide behind their models, well I was wrong lol.

That was the case last edition... This edition, they made the LOS rules a little more consistent.

That's true. The nature of the unit (friend or foe) is irrelevant, but seeing over them might negate cover, as usual for any unit.
