Does anyone know if there are any plastic great weapon bits that would suit my purpose?

I want to convert myself a plastic Master for my Dark Elf army, and I don't really like the inflexibility of the Dreadlord GW metal model.

I have some nice plastic corsair Sea Dragon Cloaks and a great looking head from the corsair sprues. All I need now is to find a way to get him a proper looking Great Weapon.
I was thinking along the lines of a VC Grave Guard's Great Weapon since Dark Elves seem to like polearm type weapons (it looks like a halberd) but was just wondering if there were any better candidate out there since I'm not very familiar with Fantasy's various sprues.

The empire greatswords, hero set, and free company all contain two-handed swords. other then that, quite a few one-handed swords would look just as good being wielded with two hands, the DE cold one knight champion's sword comes to mind.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

The Mordheim Accessory Sprue has a decent sized sword in it.
Might be worth a go if you like wibblywobbly swords.

Personaly i'd 'man up', so to speak and get used to working with metal.
Then the world of greatweapons is your oyster.

The bitz part at GWs website have nice WoC halberds in metal. Maybe that could be useful? As you said, you wanted polearms, right?

Generally I'd agree with you, but in this case one of the most distinctive features I want to be WYSIWYG on my Master model is his Sea Dragon Cloak. A metal cloak molded into the model's body is not my idea of a rewarding time spent converting.

I checked out the Empire and WoC stuff and they either had hands attached and were metal or they didn't really fit with what I wanted.

ON the other hand I saw an amazing metal Halberd on ebay. It was the Nemesis Force Halberd from the old OOP metal Grey Knights. Just gota hunt one of those down now

Nor mine but that's miles away from a metal weapon swap.
Those GK halberd blades and hafts are still pretty chunky. Might look a little wierd on a slight elven body, let us know how you get on.
