I remember that there was a topic here sometime ago discussing whether or not you could use Locator Beacons with Gate of Infinity...I never stuck around to read it to the end, but I was wonderin' what Dakka thinks of it now?

For those that don't know the issue was whether or not a Librarian could use GoI and simply land near a Locator Beacon on the field to avoid losing a member of the unit he was attached too.

As with a lot of these sorts of issues, there was no 'end'...

The end result was:
- Yes, the beacon works with GoI, as GoI follows the Deep Strike rules.
or
- No, the beacon doesn't work with GoI, as GoI uses the Deep Strike rules but isn't actually a Deep Strike.

I disagree with your agreement of the disagreeing. I think. Maybe.

That's how the other thread went anyway

It's up to the Tournament Organiser.

He would say Yes. Or No. Depending on which he thinks is right.

I think that 50% of them would say "of course", with 50% of those TOs adding "not" to the end.

The others might be surprised you asked, then it's a split between yes and no.

He could also say "I don't know" or "Stop bothering me!" or "Why don't you all play a collectible card game instead?"

It made me lols too.

Or smash the glass on the emergency mallet named "FAQinator" and start flattening models until everyone stopped asking him.
