Gentlemen, while perusing my collection of Orkish fare i had a wave of thought...
I, personally, dislike the current Loota models, and wish to replace them with something I like more.
Which gave me the idea for tanks created using loota weapons, and home-made Trakks, or wheels, whichever.
I'll post my results when they have been finished, i need to get some gretchin minatures to use as the pilots first.

Indeed i will, as soon as i find both my knife, and my camera...
First one is using the Lascannon from the Loota set, with the scaffolding comprisong most of the Tank. The rest of it is plasticard...

Good idea, actually. I'm not a fan of the loota models either. The deffguns look dumb and, as a lose/lose doubleheader, are fiddly to put together. I'm converting most of my lootas from regular shootas/big shootas and mixing in enough "real" lootas to keep people from whining.
Good luck with your conversion project.

Could be good if you can make them look a bit like your avatar, i.e. unarmoured mini-tanks - they'll look cute, and still match the Lootas' stats.

Great idea! The battlewagon comes with a "piloting" gretchin, so that one might help out, you just need to build him a hatch. Also, the metal snotlings form fantasy have a few with interesting poses, make sure to check them out. For my grot rebels, I use a mix of the above, coupled with wolf rider and buggy bits. The buggy orks are scrawny enough to be used as grots at a pinch, just change the heads.

A Squeaky Waaagh!!
Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'
Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."
