...at 2am out of nothing but cardboard, sprues, and pvc in under 2 hours?

No, but you can make an exceptionally mediocre one!

Man, my freehand explosion is so rad.
First apoc game: Killed 5 tanks, 2 infantry units, and almost glanced a baneblade to death. Fun times.

Models you thought were a good idea at the time thread?

At 2 am? Is this the equivalent of a 40k last call?

Battleforce+Battlewagon I bought hadn't come in (and still haven't...), so I was forced to improvise some points to hit the 2k I needed. As it easily did more damage than half my army, it was apparently a good decision. (landed right in the middle of the artillery in http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/80021-.html)

It actually was pretty cool, I wish I had a better shot of the stuff on the front and other side. Unfortunately all the spruework exploded on the car ride home.

I just found the project humorous, figured I'd share. I can't think of anything else on that scale in 40k you could scratchbuild so easily.

Ya know the old pulsa-rokkit was a pretty small rig dont ya? The one I have is a bit smaller than a wartrakk

But, yours led to a night of fun, and thats what the game is really about. ^_^

Nice scrtch build,

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building, copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair & grab some popcorn and yell JUMP!!!!!
Inquiring minds want to know: Do cos-players carry a costume version of the emergency roadside kit we all have in our cars?

92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig.

For a 2am effort it is pretty good

Glad it worked well, I always feel orks lack firepower (you may have just caused me to build one for my apoc game in april). If you plan to repair it and keep it then if it's alright I will make a couple of suggestions

Firstly, the sprues could do with a little despruing, they are very obvious as sprues at first glance. Cutting up sprues to breakdown their original shape would make them look more like metal girders.

Secondly the cardboard would be perfectly set off if you filled in the corrogated edges with some quick drying filler (non liquid, saves on mess... stores for months and is easy to work with and cheap).

Think the size is just right, based off of the one in the Apoc book right?

grot boms from forgeworld ftw

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Yeah, the pulsa rokkit changed a bit when it went from a small artillery piece crewed by grots, to the wild imaginings of a psychotic bigmek hell bent on mass destruction.
